Invited to provide a quote, turned up, wasted about an hour of my time, filled me with all sorts of expectations, and then did not bother to submit a quote. I delayed the start of my landscaping hoping they would quote because they seemed reasonable. They were the only company that I invited to quote that did this to me.

Splash Creative designed our logo, business cards, and web layout and graphics. All the work is really professional and gave us a creative direction we had not thought of ourselves. The work perfectly represents our brand, and is extremely adaptable to all forms of media. Splash Creative also provided marketing consultancy, and this was invaluable. We highly recommend them to anyone seeking top quality graphic design services.

We hired Wade to photograph our business. The photo wholesaling meant that we have been able to use all his photos for our website and brochures without paying royalties. We plan to use them for an advertising campaign we have coming up too. Wade's photos exceeded expectations, and we've had feedback from customers about the great photos on our website. Because we don't have to pay to use the photos, this has turned out to be really cheap for us. We'll definitely get Wade back, and I'd recommend him to other businesses.

I've bought twice from these guys. On both occasions I placed the order and scheduled a delivery date only to receive a phone call to be told they don't have stock and can't honour the delivery date. On the second occasion they couldn't provide the oven I ordered at all because the stock was end of line. They gave me the supposed like for like replacement model which they said would be at the same price when it lists, only to list the new model several weeks later at hundreds of dollars less (despite telling me it would list at the same price via email). Meanwhile they kept on advertising the old model which they couldn't supply!!! Three emails later and many phonecalls and they agreed to refund the money. I also concur with the review below that they don't turn up when you expect, and I also got a 7am phone call to say they were only 10 minutes away. To top it off, if you take the appliances online price down to any of the big high street retailers, they will beat the price.

This review is for Lawrencia Cycles, Hawthorn VIC

verified email - 29 Jul 2011

I have been a customer of Lawrencia Cycles for years having bought 3 bikes and used their servicing a number of times. They are a relatively large and well known bicycle business, with a large range of products and reasonable pricing.

On the sales side, there is a great range of of bikes at good prices, and they will negotiate strongly. Getting independant advice is a bit hit and miss, but on the right day you'll get someone who is helpful.

Mechanical servicing is however a particularly weak point, and I have now stopped using Lawrencia to get my bikes serviced. This is the sort of shop that takes one look at you and recommends replacing your chain and rear cassette. On my last visit they even put a chain guage on the bike - looked me in the eye and told me it was worn out. It was not, and I said no. In fact the bike was only 6 months old and 2 years later I still have the original chain and there is nothing wrong with it. Don't expect those headstem sqeaks or stiff cables to be sorted either. You'll likely be charged for it, but the bike will come back little different.

In summary, I'd say Lawrencia is a good place to buy a bike or spare parts if you know what you want and are willing to haggle, but look elsewhere for servicing.

This review is for Quality Bicycle Repairs, Surrey Hills VIC

Of the many businesses I have reviewed over the years with Womow, I can thankfully say I have never found a business that so fully deserves a full 5 stars. Quality Bicycle Repairs is exactly what the business name suggest - a little shop in the Union Rd Village in Surrey Hills that will repair or service your bike with the sort of honest professionalism for which you have been looking for years. There are no dodgy sales people here trying to sell you a bike, or student mechanics that can't find the upside of a spanner. They wont take one look at you and tell you your chain and rear cassette need replacing. This shop does not sell bikes, it does servicing with spare parts, and does so brilliantly.

Owner and in-store mechanic Simon is always happy to have a chat, provide advice, and just generally go the extra mile to help where he can. He is clearly a career professional in the business of fixing bikes, and the two bikes that I have regularly serviced here always come back feeling like they've been to a day spa.

If you are passionate about your bike, and frustrated with the status quo from the high street bike shop, then do yourself a big favour and give this business a go. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I invited these guys to quote on a new kitchen installation. They arrived on time, spent nearly 2 hours talking to me about my kitchen, and had some good ideas. However, that was last last I heard from them. I then chased them for a quote, waited until they missed their own deadline for it, then chased them again. In the end I got a design presentation (wasting another hour of my time), but they still did not submit a written quote. The closest I got was a highly caveated rough quote over the phone (under pressure) and that was 20% higher than all my other written quotes. They are also very pushy about a limited range of products and finishes despite having a broad range in their showroom.

This is our favourite pizza restaurant at the moment. The pizzas are really fresh and tasty and made with high quality ingredients. The Tiramisu is wonderful, and the kids really love the Italian ice-cream in novelty cups (that they can keep) that come with novelty toys (that they can also keep). We get a lot of requests to go there, and we are happy to oblige because we love the food too. The service is really personal and friendly, and it has a very welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We love to sit outside with the kids and looks at all the beautiful plants and flowers. The food is nice and the service is fine. It's a really pretty spot to stop and do a little shopping, browse, let the little ones play (there is a small playground) and enjoy some time out. Recommended for a pleasant local visit.

This cafe is in the loveliest surroundings. You can sit and eat your delicious home-made scones (lots of different varieties, I love the berry ones) and iced chocolate (yum) or coffee while watching native birds among the magnificent old gum trees, with views down into the valley. Service is very friendly and helpful, and they welcome cyclists and families. Lovely destination, we are there often.
