It's such a pleasant feeling just looking at those beautiful, colorful, delicate and surely delicious cakes! The Macaroons are just divine! Have tried all the flavors - the pistachio ones are the best!hmmmmm............

I went there with my Mum this afternoon and I got myself a Tiramisu for $5 so I could have it after Dinner because I find it refreshing.

I come here often for tea and cakes. Good place to sit down and catch up - they have such a huge range. For mother's day I did a high tea at home and swung by here early in the morning to pick up the sweets. Very nice!

We ordered a wedding cake for my sisters wedding. When we were ordering it, we were guaranteed it would be beautiful and they would put pink flowers on it to match the theme. Also we arranged to have cut and wrapped pieces to give the guests. On the day the cake was all cream coloured. No signs of the pink flowers they had guaranteed. Just the stock standard cake that's on their website which just seems to be recycled for weddings. Also the cut pieces were all different sizes and not uniform at all and wrapped so roughly. For the price we paid we had expected a bit more finesse and care. Not only that, the attitude these people have is not friendly or helpful and you actually feel bad for requesting things even though we were prepared to pay. I would NOT recommend this place for any wedding cakes - you are better off going elsewhere for more individual and quality service and also friendly approachable people during a stressful time such as a wedding. You really should take the word "quality" out of your name. Such a disappointment. Don't trust these people for your wedding.

These cakes are at a high standard and are decorated in a very special precise matter as they are level and at scale. The amount of effort put into the creations is extreme.

huge range of cakes and slices sold here i love my cakes and have had family always in the cake business the cakes here were not the freshest and the customer service from staff here was not the best either prices were reasonable but i never enjoyed the cake as it was not fresh at all wont buy from here again very disappointed

Being a cake maker myself, I have very high standards when it comes to cake and after hearing about this shop for many years I finally made the trip.
Some of the cakes seemed to not be the freshest, and the staff knowledge isn't really there.

My experience as a bride to be looking for a cake....

Firstly I turned up to my scheduled appointment right on time. They were a little busy and noone acknowleged my presence til about 5mins then I got seated in the corner lounge. I was waiting for about 10mins when I had to get up and ask if the cake consultant was ready to see me and they said another 5 mins. I waited ANOTHER 10mins before they announced she would be coming and they did offer a coffee at this point which was nice but a little bit late.
The cake consultant wasn't very apologetic for keeping me waiting 20mins and offered excuses that she wasn't busy. I was not impressed at this point. Then her knowlege on the cakes weren't that great and she had no helpful suggestions but had way too many albums to show me and none of the photos were categorised for ease of use. I can't even remember the pricing because I immediately crossed them off my list in fear of the service I would receive if I had ordered my cake through them. The cakes tasted very very average and lacked anything special.

The range of cakes and slices they have here have to be seen to be believed. I am always blown away each time I come in. I usually go for the Baclava.

I find their cookies a bit dry so I avoid those, but that could be a preference thing.

They have a main area to sit and relax but also a quick takeaway section around the corner.

Price is a bit expensive but you get what you pay for.

My wedding cake arrived in 3 pieces after rolling around in the back of their delivery van! The only excuse I revieved was "I had to brake hard" NO offer to fix it he just left! My venue did what they could to fix it but it was so bad we couldn't have wedding photos cutting the cake! The owner of oakleigh quality cakes was so focused on blaming everyone, she really didn't care! DON'T GET YOUR wEDDING CAKE HERE!!

I have got take away greek cakes from here many times before (mind you, have not for a while)
I went for a coffee and cake with a friend about 2 weeks ago and I ordered a fruit tart and was very dissapointed. The pasrty was extremely hard, the custard tasted like gluggy flour and the fruit was as if it had been sitting there for days. I brought some macaroons home, and was delighted with those, however they are not even made on premisis.
I know that the biscutes are good quality, but am left unsure of the quality of cakes after my most recent experience.

I bought a custom birthday cake from them last year and guests were most impressed with the quality and decoration. However, I was back there on Wednesday last week and was disappointed with poor, non-attentive service. Took more than 20 minutes to be served even after making an appointment. Cake did not come out as exactly as ordered and it went off after 2 days. I'm not sure whether this was one-off but considering that I paid $120 for a 10" cake, this was a pricey, unsatisfactory experience never to be repeated.

I love coming here for cakes and special treats. Very delectable and many different varieties to choose from. I love coming here (when the time calls for it) and ordering birthday cakes from these guys.

The best place, i got my wedding cake from there and it was amazing, everyone commeted! great prices, they also have a beautiful cafe!

They have the best cakes in the world! Not only do they look utterly beautiful, they taste incredible, i couldn't get enough. The people are so friendly and i would definitely visit again.

The best cakes ever! Try the Kahlua cake! Incredible! Bought this one three years ago for a birthday and people still talk about it! We also had our wedding cake made here which was phenomenal. They delivered it to the reception and catered to our own creative input and did a fantastic job! Reasonably priced considering the quality. This place is always busy - no matter what time you head over there. Definitely worth it :)

This is one of the busiest coffee, cake and takeaway shops I have seen. No matter what time of the day it is always full of people. They have a large variety of cakes, paistries, bagets and they also make cakes and sweets to order. They cater to most peoples tastes with a large selection of food which probably is why they are so popular.

Very nice cake and cafe store. The cakes are very nice and they have great snacks and coffee. Can be a bit too noisy on the weekends with all the crowds. It is very busy but the service is satisfactory.

came here for coffee today, and the quality of cakes and variety available is excellent. one of the cleanest cake shops that i been to or seen. worth recommending. but please remember to be patience with their service, take your time like they do. was busy, so sit down quickly if you see a seat empty.

I loved the cakes and pastries here, they were just so delicious and sweet! I didn't have a coffee but I will next time because they look very popular. The cafe is also popular but the staff are nice and the food doesn't take too long.

The cakes are really fancy and cute here, and like most people I have to agree that this place is always busy, that's the way it is I guess, but it's not like a brawl at football match, it's just people chattering. Most of the time I can't go shopping in the eaton mall without stopping by for a shake 'n cake at Nikos :)

This a cafe that has great cakes and coffee for eat in or take away. Service is quick but it is popular and at busy times you may have to wait a little longer. The cakes are also worth a big mention. For any special occasion including weddings Nikos is the place to go. They are some of the most beautifully decorated cakes I have ever seen and they also taste good!

While the quality and variety of the cakes at Nikos are great, the service can be a little average at times. All in all, Nikos Cakes is well-known for its reputation as having delicious and decadent cakes/sweets but at times the staff can be a little abrupt. I especially found this when inquiring about a cake for my daughter - there was a sense of arrogance with the manner in which my questions were being answered.

This cake shop makes excellent cakes and fantastic coffees. My experience felt warm and relaxing and I'm sure anyone else would feel exactly the same. There drinks and cakes taste absolute delicious.

This place has great coffee. There is always people there so it constantly has a happy buzz about it. They have a wide range of cakes and finger food. Great place for an afternoon coffee

Good cakes, quality. Variety to choose from. I dont go there often but when i do - you always can expect the same quality and service, i can haoppily recommend.

The best Latte in the region. I could sometimes drive all the way from Mount Waverley to Oakleigh Central just to buy a cup of strong latte from Nikos. My colleagues suggested me to pay them a visit, as his wedding cake was ordered from them. I tried their cake and its not that sweet and close to perfection. But I still prefer their coffee over their cake. There are other authentic greek specialty cakes and desert within the store. Its really worth a try if you drop by Oakleigh !!!
