Can't say enough for Susie and Cecilia, they did an absolutely fabulous job altering my wedding dress it looks like it was made for me. Especially pleased given the degree of difficulty, the bodice is extremely heavily beaded and delicate and needed a lot of taking in and there was a corset underneath that needed extensive work too. The end result is amazing, absolute perfection you would never know it had been altered. Thank you! Erica

Love these ladies - Susie and Cecilia made me feel so at ease and have the patience of saints! The alterations cost with Susie was so reasonable and far cheaper than I had been quoted elsewhere. Each of my appointments took about 30-45 minutes, and I never felt rushed to leave. They gave me all the time in the world to get used to my dress - gave me a few tips and tricks on walking/sitting in the dress which were invaluable for a dress the size of mine! I went into BOB unsure of my dress, and Susie and Cecilia made me fall completely in love with it by the time they had worked their magic on it. I highly recommend BOB - late evening appointments too, so that I didn't have to leave work early. I only had 3 weeks to do my alterations and the ladies accommodated me. I took my wedding dress, a lace, strapless, mermaid gown to Brides of Bentleigh after reading the reviews on this site.

I was not disappointed. Susie and Cecilia were very pleasant, patient and understanding. I had three fittings in total and my dress looked amazing. They had to take the dress in along the side seams and back seam, add cups (to give me a bust that I simply do not have) and add tiny loops from where my train could be pinned during dancing. I explained how important it was for me to be able to dance and not have people stepping on my train.

Susie and Cecilia were always professional and delivered what they promised. They also use their years of experience to point out things that an unexperienced bride simply would not know.

They are also very affordable. I had received quotes $300-400 more than what I paid at Brides of Brighton.

I highly recommend Susie and Cecilia.

I was a bit nervous when i bought my dress. It was supposed to be a tight fitting, slimline dress with two pieces, a silk underlay, and a very intricate lace overlay covered in crystals and pearls all over with a scalloped edge at the bottom. It was too big around the waist, back area, and it needed to be shortened. I didn't know how anybody could alter it without loosing detail especially altering scalloped edging – or without it costing an absolute fortune!!
I went into BOB and met Susie and Cecilia, bought my dress in and had a free consultation which went for over an hour! They told me exactly what could be done, and I was getting more and more confidant that I would have a well fitting gorgeous dress for my wedding day. It was clear right away they were true professionals, highly skilled, passionate, and every bit the perfectionists. When I got the quote, i was quite surprised; the quote was as much as my sister paid for not as much work from one of those bridal places in Brunswick! So I went ahead with it without even thinking about it.
The whole process was amazing. Stress free. Susie and Cecilia listened to everything i said, nothing was too much of a hassle, and they were not happy until I was 100% happy. It was a lot of work, and it took around 6 or so fittings over 3 -4 months to get it done perfect and by the end, IT WAS PERFECT. Even though they did more work than originally thought, they didn't charge me any extra! Just goes to show how honourable this business is. I really couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Especially for highly detailed intricate work at very decent prices.

I made an appointment with Susie to try on my five year old wedding dress so that she could see if it had dated, and then do any alterations it may need. Its not a 'flashy establishment', seamstresses working in the front with the fitting rooms further down the back in a bustling Bentleigh main street.

Susie is very easy and approachable to get along with. I felt like we worked as a team, they made some really quality decisions about the dress and did all adjustments and alterations ensuring they worked to a schedule to allow plenty of time for a stress free completion. From the moment I first visited I felt I was in good hands. I couldn't be happier with them as a business and would thoroughly recommend their services to anyone.

I came to Brides of Brighton to get my wedding dress altered. I only had three weeks until my wedding and had purchased this dress at the last minute. Susie wasn't worried, they assured me that they could do the job in time, and had me in for three fittings to ensure everything was perfect. I just picked my dress up today - a week and a half before I need it, and it is perfect! Great value for money, speedy service and very good customer service.

The team at Brides of Brighton altered my wedding dress so that it fit like a glove! I bought a dress off the rack which was too long for my short stature and fitted horribly around the bust area making it nearly unwearable. After Susie and Cecilia worked their magic, the dress fit perfectly as if it were custom made for me. The prices that they offer are also very reasonable.
