After a lovely walk along the foreshore we rested our legs at this cafe again. Milkshake and mug of coffee and cheesecake and orange cake were consumed sitting outside in the sun watching the waves lapping the rocks. Felt quite decadent but after the wet and windy week it was lovely to relax here. It was very busy with light meals being served to all ages.

As it was such a lovely afternoon we walked along the foreshore from Somerton Park to Glenelg South. Had a break at the famous Broadway Kiosk, an icon for many years, and enjoyed our icy cold milkshakes. Tables inside and out and they are well serviced. This is a very busy kiosk so there many friendly staff members to keep everything running well. Breakfast and lunch menus available for those that wish to eat a meal or a snack. The venue overlooks the sea which is good

Friendly staff and delicious food whether it be a snack or a meal. The coffee is fantastic and they do baby chinos for kids. Always abuzz and dog friendly for those who are walking their dogs along the esplanade or the beach. Tie your pooch up outside and water is available.

This is in an iconic spot on the seafront. The building was rebuilt a few years ago and seems to have lost the atmosphere it previously had. However on a nice day sit outside and sip coffee and view the sea. Very nice and also can be very busy. Food is available too. The usual type of menu as expected

Great to sit and have a coffee and croissant here and right on the foreshore where you can see the beach, boats and ocean, just love it. The service isn't too bad considering how busy it is but is very good on the quieter days but are always friendly.

Approximate cost: $15-20

Really like having coffee here and being able to sit outside on a nice day. The venue is sited right on the seafront and is always busy. Service can be a bit on the slow side but it is always friendly. Lovely spot after a walk along the beach

Quite disappointed with our lunch visit. Vegie options were present, but I ordered a doorstop with avocado and corn and received thin toast, avocado spread and creamed corn from a can (looked and smelled awful). The chips were good! Very busy place as it's position on the beach is unsurpassed. Hope to have a more pleasant visit in the future.

Approximate cost: $15

Hi Antheam2, thanks for your comments. Any dish lacking fresh ingredients is almost certain to be a disappointment and it would appear that the one you have described was no exception. From your most adequate description, I almost tasted the flavours and can understand why you would be disappointed. As consumers, it is important for us to offer feedback to any business, none moreso than restaurants, as this gives them the opportunity to improve menu selections and service. Hopefully, the next time you visit, the vegetarian selections will be better executed. Regards, Reeces

WE recently had breakfast here and it was delicious. They have a wide variety of choices and I ordered a healthy option and enjoyed every mouthful. They have a nice outdoor area which is lovely on a nice day and it overlooks the beach which is amazing. I love it.
