Great quality & well priced meat. Love the bacon, but WHOAH GUYS!!!! The SEAFOOD is nothing short of AMAZING!! Where do you source your prawns, salmon & flathead tails from? A local supplier? Havent had seafood that great for a while. Sooo fresh. Seriously great stuff

Since discovering Cannings, I've been a convert to the whole grass-fed, organic proposition - not just for health or ethical reasons, but because there is such a huge difference in taste. I always thought my skills fell slightly short of producing that perfect hatted restaurant quality steak - however since Cannings, I've realised its not my skills, but the quality of produce which made the difference.
I also love how responsive Sam is to his customers, with feedback & his promotion offers. The latest package offer was brilliant & such great value. My freezer is bursting. Thanks Sam!
Cannings isn't the cheapest, but with such great taste, I'd rather eat out less, and eat in more.

I have been shopping at Cannings since it first opened and have tried a range of their products. Everything purchased has been fantastic. It is more expensive than supermarkets and some other suburban butchers the quality is well worth it. The eye fillet purchased didn't shrink in the pan when cooked so I actually bought too much! Same goes for the salmon. The gourmet sausages are the only ones my kids will eat. While I'm writing this review I'm actually having breakfast made with some of Canning's bacon. It tastes like no other bacon and is the best i've ever had.

Cannings is amazing! It is like the old fashioned butcher which is so hard to find these days - but better! They have a beautiful range of products, everything looks so delicious in the display case. It may be a little on the dearer side but the extra $ is worth it.

Going for only two years this butcher shop is leading the way in Melbourne. Great products and super service. Superb free range meat and a very wide rage of products. Sam Canning -shows heaps of creativity by continually introducing and testing new prepared products and honestly seeks customer feedback. A nice touch is that Cannings also carry a narrow but superb range of fresh fish that only make choosing tonight's dinner just that more difficult..
