Love Adams work !

Hes quick to respond to a call out, arrives promptly, works quickly, cleans up thoroughly... and what I like most is, he is upfront about how much its going to cost, and there are no hidden surprises!

I plan to use Adam for all my plumbing needs, and will be highly recommending him to my network.

In addition, he has already given me a great price for an air conditioning installation....hes found me a more powerful system, and a great value price as well !

I love businesses that disrupt an industry by providing better service, better quality & better value than any business in the market.

Darren sets out to do just that, and sets a standard that is hard to beat.

I had a couple of tricky electrical issues. Even before we met or he had the job, Darren was extremely helpful in suggesting ways in which they could be solved.

With the job, Darren was the most competitive in terms of price, whilst ticking all the boxes (audit / required certificates).

He arrived on time, delivered the job in record time, plus he helped me out by replacing a few dodgy switches and gave me advice on another job, and how I could solve it.

Darren is now my go-to person for all things electrical, and I will be recommending him to my friends.

The Loft Cafe is a lovely airy cafe at Macquarie centre. Besides having a nice, cozy interior, it also has tables outside, just under the glass roof of the centre. This gives the feel of being outside.

Breakfast here was quick and surprisingly good. The poached eggs were cooked just right, the mushrooms sauteed with herbs, and the coffee was solid, though not outstanding. Prices were pretty reasonable as well.

Approximate cost: $12-15 for breakfast

Ate at Loving Hut last night, and absolutely loved it.

Its obviously getting popular - they were full by 7.30, and had 2 big groups. Service was a bit sporadic, they looked a bit flustered with that many customers. However, they were so nice, that you didnt mind.

We decided against the mock meat, which was a good idea. Why go to a vegan place to eat mock meat ?

We also ordered dishes that were described as their specialty - the steamed dumplings (lovely flavours, reminded me of burmese momos), the burmese salad (lovely, fresh, lots of texture & flavours, a must order), the rainbow pocket (crunchy, great flavour), eggplant & tofu (lovely dish, love the thai basil), green curry (spicy, great flavour although not totally what you would describe as thai green curry, crunchy vegetables, could have had more veg & less tofu).

What was impressive was that all these dishes had quite different, unique flavours, and that the flavour hit you got was bold, complex & packed a punch - no insipid vegetarian fare here.

For dessert we had their raw, lemon cheesecake (made with cashew cream) - gives the dairy version a run for its money, and the sago pudding (loved it, but I love this malaysian dessert - gula malaka. A bit of a twist, this came with cubes of green apple, which added a bit of freshness. However, would prefer more syrup & coconut cream & less sago)

Overall, a great experience, looking forward to going back.

I wanted to add this little find to the Dog Grooming section, as its such great value.

The "My Pet Warehouse" store in Richmond (I think its also at a number of other stores) has a DIY Pet wash at the back of the store.

It costs you approx $ 10 to wash your dog. The things I like about it :
1) They use non allergic, organic products for the shampoo & conditioner. My dog comes out feeling really silky.
2) The water is warm in winter
3) The tub is at hip height, with a high enough lip to prevent your pooch jumping out.
4) The tub has a rubber mat to prevent paws from slipping
5) You can disinfect the tub before starting
6) They have rubber gloves, and disposable aprons - keeps me dry
7) You dont have to bother with opening bottles, squeezing out product - this operates like a car wash, you just turn the dial
7) The automatic wash has a high powered hair dryer which gets most of the water off.
8) they also have a grooming table with clippers if you need it.

With this set up so conveniently, I find it so quick & easy to use, rather than trying to bathe my pooch at home, and have water & mess all over the bathroom.

Approximate cost: $10 per session

I bought a dog grooming voucher for Pets Paradise. Its an add on to their regular business, hence, they will take a booking for you on the phone, but you need to talk to the groomer when you come in.

The service they offer is quick & speedy. My dog was literally groomed in about an hour, hence its great if you need to finish chores before picking up your dog. They call you when the dog is ready.

The grooming they provided was as per what I had asked for, so I had no issues.

The only downside of this set-up is that they dont have a holding area for the dogs that are awaiting grooming or ones that have been done. All of them are literally milling around this tiny enclosure, hence, its important that you pick your dog up when they phone to say its ready.

Approximate cost: $Approx $70-80

I used Paws and Pose for a dog grooming service, that I had bought a voucher for, hence, I'm unsure of their regular prices. They don't have a price list, preferring to quote, based on service provided.

Its a lovely little set up - looks more like a beauty therapist than a dog grooming place.

They promise that your dog will be pampered - warm hydro bath, cushion beds - and that no sedation is used.

My pooch definitely emerged with a really nice cut, they had styled her exactly the way I wanted, and she looked polished and well-kept (unlike some of those cuts where she just looks like shes been shaved)

Approximate cost: $Think approx $ 80

This review is for Going to the Dogs, Richmond VIC

Going to the Dogs is a great place to have your dog professionally groomed, and its the same price you pay elsewhere.

For people who work away from home during the day, there is the added bonus of being able to 'check-in' your dog at 8.30 am, and pick them up after work (before 6 pm).

Helen is really gentle, but takes no nonsense, from the dogs. My fussy little pooch submits to her.

I also love the way Helen clips each dog 'to enhance their character'. Ever since grooming my pooch with Helen, I regularly get comments on how cute my dog it, and I know its how she has been groomed that contributes to that (I adopted her, and when I first saw her, she was pretty average looking, which was more a function of how she had been clipped)

Helen is all for the dogs - she will tell off owners who dont regularly brush & groom their mutts, and allow them to get matts (I know, I was guilty the first time). She know how painful it is for the dogs, and she makes sure that they get looked after first.

Approximate cost: $75

Great fish & Chips place with fast, friendly service.

They also have a grilled fish option & a health pack (with chips & 2 salads)

Pricing is economical although the packs are better value than buying individually. (Be sure to check. I ended up paying twice as much once, and they should have pointed out that there was an equivalent pack.)

The fish of the day changes, presumably based on availability & cost. You can also get your preferred fish, priced per piece.

The chips are thick cut, and a perfect combination of crunchy & soft in the middle.

The salads are pretty average and pre-made- greek salad, coleslaw, beetroot - its one area they could improve.

Approximate cost: $10-15 for a family pack
