Enjoyed a trip up to the light house and was able to take the tour which was free to the top of the inside of the lighthouse, the tour guide was very informative, very enjoyable.

Lovely day trip for all the family. You can drive & park close, or take a liesurely walk up the hill to the lighthouse. The most Eastely point of Australia, this is a beautiful place & has a great view. In winter you can watch the whales pass.

Live going up here. The walk is worth the sweat on a hot day. There is ice cream available for sale which is yum up the top and the museum is worth looking at. If your in Byron you must check it out.

What a lovely place. The scenery and view of the ocean from the lighthouse is spectacular.

Make sure you use the amazing and handy photo-stands while you're there. They are small pylons with a Screw-nut setup that fits into 99% of cameras, and you can do a timed shot without fear of your camera falling off.

Also, use it when you get to the "Most Eastern Part of Mainland Australia".

Bring your runners / hiking boots, and go for a really good energetic walk right down to the rocks, and all the way back up.

Was a refreshing exercise to counter the lazy holiday activities we were used to.

Must-do if you're a tourist in the Byron Bay / Gold Coast area (only takes 1 hour 10 mins from Surfers Paradise).

Parking is Shocking though. $6/7 for parking and there's only a couple. We were lucky to get a park, which probably made it more enjoyable. If you don't want to take a chance on parking, I suggest getting a bus up.

Approximate cost: $7

A must-do activity in Byron Bay is to walk to the lighthouse, either via Lighthouse Road, or alternatively via Cape Byron Walking Track from Watego Beach, Byron Bay.

The lighthouse is located 3km east of the Byron Bay township and is accessible by foot or car, although being a very popular attraction car parking can be an issue.

There are tours available.
