Went to Capital Kitchen here with a young child, under 12 . The choose from the kids menu is pretty good, the food quality for the kids was really good nice and fresh, the range of food is pretty good, offer gluten free but at an extra $1.00 charge per item which I dont agree with, the staff are friendly and helpful, the service is usually pretty good and the astopheme is quite relaxing. The hot drinks are pretty good, the hot chocolate we had was okay, could of been hotter, and the homemade jam is really tasty.

Capital Kitchen was a lovely find when we went to visit Chadstone, we wanted to find a toddler friendly cafe and this cafe was perfect. Capital Kitchen is a HUGE cafe and it has a range of tables and couches for you to sit on (perfect for toddlers) and they have a section where you can help yourself to water. Whilst at Capital Kitchen, we only ate from the sweet selection, we ordered the tea cake and scones, both were absolutely divine, The coffee was alright. I noticed that they have a wide variety of lunch options too. Great efficient service, which is necessary because they get so busy.

I have been to Capital Kitchen at both Chadstone and Malvern Central within the last couple of weeks. The atsophere at Chadstone is relaxing having a range of seating, the food is always nice and tasty, although the service isnt fast in receiving your meal. Little bit on the pricey side but at least its fresh and tasty. Its a great place for a light lunch and a catch up.

I've always thought that Capitol Kitchen would be a bit too fancy for me but when I finally went in for lunch one day I really enjoyed it! They have a great range of lunch items including fresh baguettes and salads. I find the savoury items to be quite well priced but the sweet items are very expensive for what they are so I have stuck with savoury. The service is friendly and the food takes an average time to get to your table. This is nice place to catch up with friends.

This is a lovely cafe at Chaddy. I love the yellow and grey colors surrounding.
I am gluten intolerant and its great to see gluten free options on the menu.
This place is always busy but I never have to wait for a table. In the summer it is nice to sit ouside too.

This is my favourite place to eat Brunch at Chaddy. They do a great breakfast, simple, but good.

I always get scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and mushrooms.

It's also a good place to meet for a coffee and cake or lunch and a drink. They have two counters that you can order from, fresh salads and sanwiches and then a made to order menu.

The food is good, the prices are pretty good considering location and the coffee is great.

I love that they sell a few of my favourite groceries (some packaged crackers and biscuts)

Approximate cost: $10

There are still not enough decent places to eat when you go to Chadstone and this place certainly looks very cool and impressive with places to sit outside, comfy couches and large tables plus high stools at tables, so lots of seating. It sells homewares at the front of the shop which I haven't bought before. I have taken the kids in here a few times in the holidays and usually nearly drop dead at the prices but we have enjoyed the cakes and sandwiches, especially the cute cupcakes. Their system seems to work OK, you order at the counter and pay and they bring it over, but coffee is ordered and picked up at a separate counter. The coffee is alright but kids usually have hot chocolates. I liked the chicken and celery sandwich a lot, will copy that one at home!

I have mixed feelings about this place! I feel like most people see this place as a chic 'IT' hang out place to eat. It is always busy and hard to find a table at times. Food is ok, not as 'wow' as you'd expect from such a thriving place but service is always prompt and staff are friendly. Interiors are quite cozy and homey.

Went there for brunch, on a Saturday and even though they were rather busy and it was hard to find a table and seating. Once we ordered our meals & drinks were received within about 15mins was rather delicous. The staff are friendly even provided colouring in pencils and pages for a toddler to keep him amused which it did. The food was delicous and the hot chocolates were grand. Id defently go back again.

A vibrant, very LA-chic cafe/bistro in the heart of Chadstone Shopping centre... good food but a little on the expensive side.

Approximate cost: $14
