I sold our two family cars through carsales.com.au this year and wish they had been around when I had to last go through this process years ago. the ads were good value, the web site is quite user-friendly and overall, a far better way to sell your car than through newspapers. I will use them again to buy and sell, 5 Stars.

This is a great way to sell your car! I find the cost a little high but you list it until you sell it, with no more to pay.

great way to look to buy or sell your car, i recently sold my car on their website for the asking price and also bought a car using their website for a very good price, when selling a car on there it only costs a once off $50 to list the car and the listing stays on until the car is sold. how good is that...

Great website, huge range of vehicles, I love doing my shopping on line takes out all the leg work, it makes it so much easier. The customer service is great. There are new cars daily

Post your car for sale on carsales.com.au You pay only one fee and keep your ad there for as long as you want. Once you sold the car, you can remove the ad. I sold few cars there for a very good price.

Put an unique car on carsales and it sold in 2 weeks. Got a good price for it and setting up the ad was easy. However, my fiance also has a car for sale on this site that is not overpriced but has had no interest, no calls, no emails, nothing. Okay for unique cars, not so good for normal cars.

I tried to sell my car on carsales.com.au. Not only are they way overpriced, but their website is buggy and difficult to use. I got a lot of phone calls from people asking me stupid questions about the car (why should I buy your car and not another one like it?), and I had some people try to negotiate the price over the phone without even seeing the car first. My asking price wasn't unreasonable, I followed their price guide. I got a lot of spam email and some scams too. Overall I wouldn't recommend Carsales for someone wanting to sell their car, there are better options out there.

Since 2009 we've majorly improved our Trust & Safety processes minimising spam across the site, plus our site has undergone several upgrades and is now much quicker and easier to use.
