Anyone who gives a star rating less than 5 is nuts! We ordered Cod & Chips today and all i can say is OMG! The tastiest chips ever and the fish just melted in our mouths. Oh! And.... THE MOST affordable, place to eat on the Gold Coast! The service was outstanding too! We went to get up off our seats to get cutlery but one of the cooks insisted we not get up as he wanted to assist us. Everyone that worked there was completely lovely and hospitable. It will be our place to go from now on whenever we’re down on the coast.
Thank you guys for making our experience a great one!

We went here for a quick bite and decided to get a Fish Basket to share and a couple of beers ... I had a James Boags Premium and Sharon had wanted to try a Heineken for ages so she had one of those. When the total came to under $20 I was very surprised and said "How much were the beers?"

Sharon pointed to the sign that said first beer is $3 and $5 after that ... $3 for just about any beer you could want including Heineken and Corona ... nobody does $3 imported beers anymore I thought ... well I was wrong!!!

The food did take a little while to come out but it was freshly cooked and delicious. I would highly recommend Caught 'n Cooked if you're in Broadbeach and are after a feed of fish and chips or prawns or calamari!

So stoked with this small fish and chip place - it is certainly not much to look at but they do a brilliant job. Not only is their seafood all fresh and tasty, it's great value and you can choose whether you want it grilled, battered or crumbed. The fish basket, which is only 12.90, comes with prawns, sea scallops, fish bites, calamari AND chips. AND any place you can get a wagyu burger for under $10 is fine by me.

They seem like nice people running the place, and when they brought us out our two pieces of fish of the day, they actually gave us a complimentary one as one of the initial pieces had broken. The fish wasn't tainted or inedible in any way whatsoever, so it was a really nice gesture.

PLUS, they have a huge fridge full of 20+ different beers and ciders, anything from your VB to your Coopers - $3.

Will definitely be back next time I'm down the coast. Loved it.

Perhaps it never really that wise to order from a shop at the back end of a shift. Perhaps you should never order a burger from a fish and chip shop. Perhaps its too much to expect a smile when you order. Couldn't rate this experience very highly in comparison to similar businesses.
