Confusing service that doesn't accommodate a change of heart. Curry was tasty, but serving was rather small. Too expensive for what you get.

My friend and I had dinner at Chillipadi the other night after attending a function in the city. She had been to Chillipadi before but this was my first time.

I have only heard positive things about Chillipadi so I was looking forward to dining there. I certainly wasn't disappointed. We got there quite late on a Tuesday night, but the manager was very polite and let us know that we could still order before the kitchen closed up, and took us to our table.

I ordered the Thai green curry with chicken and a serve of roti bread and my friend had the Malaysian homestyle curry chicken. Our orders were cooked quickly and brought out to us piping hot. My dish was delicious, not too spicy (although when the manager asked how our meals were I joked that they could have made it hotter, and he dared me to ask for more chilli the next time I came back.) The chicken was soft and the vegetables crisp. The roti bread was delicious and buttery, and tasted very fresh (there's nothing worse than pre-made, microwaved roti bread!) My friend enjoyed her curry chicken too.

The prices were very competitive as well, with mains around $12-15. The service was very friendly and relaxed and we didn't feel rushed at all, even though it was clear they were getting ready to close up for the night. A really pleasant dining experience, definitely somewhere I'd visit again!

I tried laksa from this restaurant.. well the laksa.. it was quite nice.. I like it.. The service was good - they have nice staff. the price of the meal is reasonable.would go bck again!

For either traditional Malaysian fare or fusion Asian this place provides a blend of both.

We always enjoy the Nasi Lemak, Lobak, Laksa and other traditional fare.

Quality of dishes are very good. Service is good and the staff know what the food tastes like (unlike some places where the staff have never tried the food!!)

Seating can be a bit tight and tables are small if you are ordering a number of dishes to share, however the main reason for any restaurant is the food which is of a very good quality.

Wireless WiFi is available and don't forget you can earn Qantas frequent flyer points at this place so long as you bring your card to swipe.

I recently dined here for lunch and had a spring roll, chicken laksa, and teh tahrik. All were delicious and promptly served. Wait staff were efficient and friendly, and even stopped to make conversation with me. Plenty of newspapers to read, and comfy seats.

This restaurant offers delicious Malaysian/ Singaporean food and the famous Roti Chennai is extremely delicious. Food can be overpriced though.

very nice Malaysian restaurant...the ambience is very nice with dim ligts and gas heaters in winter.. the food is great.. very authentic flavours and a good serving portion.. service is also good

great little place tucked in the corner of melbourne central. best to get a seat upstairs. would reccomend the laksa, hainese chicken rice and finish it off with green tea ice cream.

had group gatherings twice there,staff were friendly but service was slow,food were only luke warm, small portion, i think it's overpriced. i wouldn't call it malaysian cuisine.
