Really happy with the quality of service and product from Boomerang. I was looking for a 6pk of Frontline Plus for small dogs and they had the best price I could find online (by quite a bit!) Prompt courier delivery direct to my door. Item was shipped and received within 1 business day. Their website is really easy to navigate too. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from these guys again!

Ajisen Ramen is fast, cheap and cheerful. I've been here a few times and have always found the portion sizes to be huge and the prices very reasonable. Food comes out fast, fresh and hot, and the staff are friendly enough. I'm not a huge fan of the signature Ajisen Ramen dish (I prefer udon noodles in my ramen and they seem to use egg noodles instead) but the Salmon Cha Han is very yummy! The Yakitori entree is very well cooked and a favourite of ours. If you need a quick, cheap meal in the city, Ajisen Ramen will certainly do the trick.

This review is for Jenny Hogan - Independent Scentsy Consultant, Elwood VIC

Jenny Hogan introduced me to the world of gorgeous Scentsy products. I love scented candles, so it was great to find a product that provides the same delicious scents without the danger of a lighted candle burning in my home.

Jenny came to my home and gave me a full demonstration of how the Scentsy burners work. She also brought samples of what must have been 100 different fragrances to smell, which was just so much fun. She didn't make me feel pressured to buy anything, and we just had fun talking about and trying the products.

I fell in love with the Whoot owl-shaped burner (which is SO cute!) and so I ordered it on the spot, along with three packets of different scented melts to use in the burner.

Jenny is extremely professional and a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend contacting her if you want to organise a fun Scentsy party for you and your friends.

Approximate cost: $70 for a premium burner and three packets of melts

The Little Elephant is easily my favourite cafe in Melbourne, if not all of Australia! Since it opened just over a year ago, I've had nothing but fantastic experiences there, and my husband and I were quick to become regulars.

The staff are awesome: friendly, welcoming, funny and happy to help. You'll always leave with a smile on your face.

The food and (more importantly!) the coffee are superb. We regularly have breakfast and lunch here, and I'm sure we've tried everything on the menu. You won't find the regular, stodgy breakfast fare here - everything is fresh, made with delicious produce and you'll definitely find a few new taste sensations along the way.

(TIP: Do try a chocolate brownie with your coffee as they are TO DIE FOR!)

On Friday nights, they have also recently opened up for a tapas, bar & live music combo that hits the spot. I took a friend and we had an awesome night. Delicious tasting platters, good wine and an awesome atmosphere that you just wouldn't expect to find in the 'burbs!

There's nothing I wouldn't recommend about The Little Elephant. It really is a gem, and I'm so glad it's within walking distance of my house, because it means that I can go there whenever I want!

This review is for Harvey Norman Design & Renovations, Auburn NSW

verified email - 27 Dec 2013

My father and I had the kitchen in our Sydney property renovated by Harvey Norman Renovations. From start to finish, the professionalism and quality of the work has been excellent, and we have not been disappointed.

Our kitchen designer Frankie understood exactly what we wanted and she did an excellent job during the planning & design stage of the renovation. She also brought in her own experience and ideas, and raised some great points (things we'd never have thought of!) to ensure that we got the kitchen we were dreaming of.

The office staff were excellent and answered all of the questions we had during the entire project. They were prompt and polite, and I never felt like I was chasing someone for answers. They provided us with an outline of each stage of the renovation, include a timeline of all the trades. Everything was well-planned and well-executed.

The tradesmen were all extremely friendly, polite and prompt, and they all did an excellent job. They each called the day before their scheduled job to confirm their arrival time, and they were happy to answer any questions I had as well.

I think that the best way to know how good a business really is, is to see how they respond to any mistakes or issues that may come up. I noticed during the renovation that there was no tiler listed on the timeline to do the splashback. I called the head office and spoke to them about it, and they got back to me within a day with a tiler organised and ready to go. No excuses for the oversight, they just got on with it and rectified the mistake as quickly as possible!

The entire project was completed on time - it took ten working days altogether - and we were really happy with the overall cost of the renovation.

We've been using the kitchen for about six weeks now, and it's a real pleasure and delight. Everything is perfect, and it makes us so happy every time we walk into the room! I can't stop gushing to everyone about how much I love the new kitchen (it's a shame I don't live there - my dad gets to enjoy it much more than me!)

I would definitely recommend Harvey Norman Renovations to anyone looking to renovate their kitchen. We will definitely be going to them again when we renovate our bathroom in the near future.

Approximate cost: $22,000

I found Robert on WOMO and contacted him about painting our kitchen, which we had just renovated. Robert got back to me quickly and understood exactly what we wanted done. I emailed him through some pictures of the room and he emailed me back the same day with a comprehensive, detailed quote. We were very happy with the quoted price and accepted the quote straight away (we didn't even bother getting any other quotes!)

We needed the job done in a really tight timeframe and, even though he was busy, Robert managed to fit our job into his schedule on a day that suited us. He provided us with lots of advice regarding colours and explained exactly how everything would happen.

On the day, Robert arrived on time and was polite and tidy. He got the job done so quickly (on his own!) but without compromising on the quality of the job. I was really surprised that he got the whole room done in a day!

Overall, Robert's professionalism and customer service speaks for itself. We're painting the rest of the house next year, so I will definitely be in contact with him again about that!

Highly recommended, A+++

This review is for Arabesque, Elsternwick VIC

verified email - 29 May 2013

I don't normally review a business twice, but in this case I'm willing to make an exception! It has been a couple of years since I've been to Arabesque (although not for lack of wanting!) but when I had to plan my husband's 40th birthday, I thought a Middle Eastern banquet would be perfect. I contacted them and spoke to Ergun who was so polite and professional. He answered all of my (many!) questions. I received a text message confirmation of my booking and I felt really confident that everything would run smoothly!

We had the Pasha banquet for 17 adults, which comes with lots of different types of meze to start with (three dips with fresh bread, and lots of other meat and vegetarian dishes) then three mains (we had the chicken, fish and lamb - all were fantastic!) followed by baklava, turkish delight, and mint tea/turkish coffee for dessert.

The restaurant itself has gorgeous, Middle Eastern-inspired decor (subtle, not at all tacky!) and a really relaxing ambience. The staff were SO helpful and polite and courteous the whole night. The food and drinks came out in a timely fashion (despite having such a large number of people AND the restaurant was quite busy) and there was SO MUCH FOOD we were bursting from the seams (in a good way!) Everything tasted FANTASTIC and everyone agreed that they'd definitely be back.

All in all, another fantastic experience. We are definitely not going to leave it so long in-between visits next time!

I found Ma & Paws General Store on WOMO and I've been going there for a few months now. I've been really happy with the service that I've received. Sharon is an absolute GEM! She really takes the time to listen to the concerns you have about your pet, and helps you to find exactly what you need. My dog has always had very sensitive, allergy-prone skin that causes him to itch alot. Sharon suggested a significant diet change, and explained the different approaches we could take to see what might make a difference. At her recommendation, we switched our dog onto Meals for Mutts, which is a very protein-rich dog food that doesn't have any chicken in it. Within a few days, the visible difference was astounding. My dog's coat (which didn't look too bad beforehand) was suddenly GLEAMING. I still can't get over how shiny and healthy it looks even today. His itchiness has also almost completely gone away as well. I cannot believe how much difference a change in diet has made (and so much cheaper than having to go back and forth to the vet to get medications for the itching!) The prices are also very competitive. We're paying less than we used to for a so-called "vet recommended" brand that obviously wasn't doing our dog any good. There's also a huge range of treats and other pet items, it's a very comprehensive store.

Overall, I'm more than happy to recommend Ma & Paws. Sharon is a lifesaver, and a superstar, and she's now got us as customers for life! :)

This review is for Bellabox, Cremorne VIC

verified email - 14 May 2013

I've been a Bellabox subscriber for around 8 months now and I absolutely love receiving my monthly box of skincare and makeup samples in the post. For only $15 (bargain!) you receive a mix of interesting/luxe/cult beauty products to try. Sometimes you get full size products, but mostly they are deluxe travel/sample size. The contents of each box is a surprise, but they do their best to match products to your beauty and skincare requirements. For the most part I've been pretty happy with everything that I've received, and I'm always happy to try products that I've never used or heard of before (you never know when you'll find that next great product!)

The reason I'm reviewing Bellabox today, though, is because I was so impressed by the speed and service I recently experienced when making a purchase from their online store. I bought a tube of Goe Oil and an OCC lip tar (both cult beauty products that are hard to find in Australia!) I placed the order on the weekend. I received an email to notify me that my order had been dispatched on Monday. Then I received my order first thing Tuesday morning! Not to mention the awesome goodies I received with my order, a bunch of deluxe samples. What a great surprise!

To top it off, I also received $20 off my order with the points I have accrued via my Bellabox subscription. All in all, I'm a very happy girl! Thanks Team Bellabox!

This review is for The Bean Project, Melbourne VIC

verified email - 22 Feb 2013

The Bean Project is a takeaway coffee vendor in the shiny new business building on RMIT City Campus. I've been here a few times when in the vicinity and needing coffee. The coffee is OK, it's not fabulous but it'll do if you don't have time to walk to other nearby coffee places. What irks me, though, is the service. One particular staff member always seems to be cranky (nobody likes having to be up early in the morning, including me, so there's no need to project your rotten attitude onto your customers!)

One particular occasion that makes me hesitant to go back was when I asked specifically if the croissants were fresh that morning. The staff member said yes, they are fresh, we received them this morning. So I bought my coffee and croissant and went to my class. Half way there, I took a bite and found that the croissant was very stale, it was horrible! I didn't have time to walk back and complain so I just binned it. Blatantly lying to customers is not cool!
