it's very rare to find quality food with a reasonable price tag in melbourne these days. William Angliss is a TAFE specialise in hospitality. During the semester, they run different themed lunch/dinner/cocktail evening from time to time. I went there for buffet lunch with my work colleagues twice. The quality and standard of the food were impressive on both occassion. the trainee waiting staff were all very pleasant and friendly, they might not be the most professional staff (as they are still students), but the experience there is far better than a lot of other so-called fine dining restaurant. The table setting at their Bistro is very spacious. The cost of lunch buffet was merely $20, including coffee! the tips is get in early, so that u wont miss out on the good food coz they only prepare a limited portion at each session.

Lewis the guy behind the counter is quite knowlegeable, he does a lot of different instrument repairs or he'd send it off to someone else to do it. reasonable pricing and convenient. if there r things i can't find at Allan's Music, i'd goto Lewis'.

they are not just your normal gift shop, wide range of product including artwork paper, handcraft material and even some furniture! i bought one of their display table, topped with vintage sheetmusic for just $50! what a bargain, they have different stock on display from time to time, with quite a selection of handmade craft. i am especially impressed with their handmade greeting cards too, very creative. and the staff are always friendly and warm. great place to go if u are thinking of making something yourself!

I have been going to lunch at Kun Ming for the last couple of years, yes, they never change their lunch menu, but i never got tired of their quality food. it's an honest, reliable and reasonably price chinese restaurant and they do have a number of new items on the special every now and then. whenever i have guests from interstate or overseas, i'd take them there, coz i knew they won't disappoint me. they are fully licensed and BYO wine only. Staff are friendly and service was usually pleasant.

Went yumcha last sunday, as they claim to import one of the most famous Xiao Lung Bao (little pork steam bun) chef from TW, where I had the most amazing Xiao Lung Bao. The service was slow, it's not a big restaurant, there are no trolley, the waiters brough out basket of dim sum on a tray. Very limited selection of dim sum comparing to other yum cha fare, however, all the dim sum are of high quality, it's definitely not one of those from mass production or a factory line. the Xiao lung bao were great, however the selection of dimsum weren't really much and they were rolled out really slowly. i suspect they have a very small kitchen. the ambience is great btw.

hooked up with Lee base on the recommendation here. fantastic bloke, get the job done quickly, no gimmicks, easy to deal with, prompt and professional. i had him painted a small part of my ceiling due to a recent plaster repair, he blended the color in perfectly. recommended
