The food here was fantastic the service unbeatable its a tiny bit expensive but it is worth it. We have been here a few times and every time it has been awesome it was recommended to us by my husbands pop and we thoroughly enjoyed every second of being there

Service is great. Yum Cha is OK compare to other Yum Cha place in the city. But for somewhere around the Essendon area, China Max is pretty good.
Didn't really like their deep fried stuffs like the spring rolls, soft shell crab, etc because the oil seems to be overused.
Their siu mai, ha kaw and other steam dumpling are good.
A bit pricy compare to other yum cha place.
If you live around the area, it is a convenient place to go to.
But if you don't mind to travel for a good yum cha/ Chinese restaurant, there are better places elsewhere.

China Max does the good quality Chinese food. Takeaway option is better as eat in is more expensive for some reason.

Over the years ive noticed a slight decline in the quality of the food here. Still reasonably good, but not as good as it used to be.

Always quality food served here, servings are decent, service is generally very good, can be a little bit pricier than some Chinese restaurants, but worth it overall. Regular customer.

Approximate cost: $22.00

Good service but i find their food to be really plain. everything tastes the same. The staff are nice but the menu might need a bit of a new look.

First of all I love Chinese cuisine, but unfortunately the dishes here were bland and unimpressive. The service was great and staff were friendly enough but I have experienced better Chinese cuisine and found this lacking.

Great Food.Quite pricey, but well worth the money, as the quality of the food is fantastic. The only fault is the service. Not very attentive. the dish that this restaurant are known for is their delicious peeking duck!!! Well worth the money!!

Approximate cost: $20-40

China Max is a favourite of my family. The food is always wonderful and the service is top notch. I don't feel that it is too expensive and as a take-away meal it is always ready on time and great value. We can never eat it all.
