my wife's car had a new battery installed in 5/21 by city mazda service , battery needs replacing already not even 3 years use , they said the battery they installed in 21 was a cheaper battery and the warranty is finished , when they installed the cheaper battery they didn't give us the option for the better battery now we have to pay again for a new battery , you would think a new battery would last longer than 2 1/5 years , we were up grading our sone but now they lost the sale of a new car

Bought Mazda MX 30 from this outfit early March...Battery kept going flat after 3 or 4 days .. took it back number of times ...they said they couldn't find any thing wrong with it... The manager told me to put it on a battery charger when its parked in the shed... that was the best they would do for me... after 5000 kms i traded it on a new VW... lost about $12000.00 on the deal... will never go near city mazda or mazda again

Worst dealer customer service ever. Don't go here.
Spent $1,000's with this dealer over the years on overly expensive servicing in the belief that they would be the best to identify and rectify any issues as the car got older. However, when car developed an intermittent starting fault, they would not return my calls or deal with me to rectify issue.
They are happy to take our money for expensive servicing, but will not support owners when we really need it.
Don't go here!

Worst Customer Service Experience with City Mazda.
Purchased a Demo CX-9,
the car was delivered uncleaned from inside,
salesperson rushed the delivery and did not thoroughly inspect the car before delivering to the consumer
after market salesperson was pushy and arrogant and was pressuring us to buy the products or the car will not be delivered in time.
Called 5 times in a single day to reach out to finance but Finance person never bothered to call us back no calls recd till date
Upon complaining about the issues, we were asked by the manager to bring the car some other day so that they can detail it from inside.
Did that and left the car one entire day but no detailing was done on the car, seemed they only vacuumed the mats. I could still see dust all over, hair, spray marks and stains on the seats and dirty cup holders.
Then the big boss came in and tried compensating the whole thing with a free service but made it look like he is doing a favour to us where in delivering a clean car to the customer should be a standard thing for the dealership.
In the end because i got fed up dealing with them I had to get the almost new car detailed from car wash company and had to bear that expense
Overall it was a bitter experience and service was below standards
I m not going there again for any of my future purchases and will ask my family and friends and whoever i come across to stay away from the city mazda dealership
Lesson learnt for next time i guess

Daniel Goodluck from City Mazda Hindmarsh is the very best salesman I have ever dealt with. He is so friendly, listens to what your needs/wants are, doesn't waste your time on a product you are not interested in & knows his product like the back of his hand.
I cannot rate Dan (Lucky) high enough & he most definitely deserves a pay rise.

City Mazda was the first Mazda dealer i went into to check out their range of second hand Mazda CX-3. The same day i walked out with one. Jeffery at City Mazda helped us and was such a great help throughout the whole process. The mazda CX-3 i purchased was second hand and in great condition. The car went in for a mechanic service and detail before i picked it up. The car ended up looking brand new and i couldn’t be happier. Thank you Jeffery and the team at City Mazda.

I will never employ the services of this company again. One star is way too high. Perhaps a quarter of a star. Terrible customer service, from [redacted personal identifer]. After paying $$$$ for a large problem with the vehicle to be repaired, they tried to blame me for an error that THEY made on the invoice for repair (about $200) . This was accompanied by astonishing rudeness and arrogance from the person concerned.

On the next vehicle service, the 2 employees in cahoots, tried to recoup the difference by attempting to convince me to pay for unnecessary servicing of my vehicle.

I will NEVER EVER go back.

Got that? NEVER. EVER.

Instead, I drive 20km out of my way to have my vehicle serviced at an honest and ethical Mazda dealer.

Terrible customer service. I own & love Mazdas. I convinced my partner to try them as she is looking for an upgrade. We visited two dealers and test drove two other cars before visiting City Mazda at Hindmarsh, SA.
The salesman (Teigan) appeared most unenthused and tried everything to discourage us from going for a test drive. We explained the type of car we were after (SUV around 2014-2015) and gave some comparative examples of other models. He said and I quote "it's best if you know the car you want, before going for a test drive". I asked him how would someone know the feel of a car without driving it?? At this point, as I was walking off when he asked my partner if she wanted to take it for a test drive! I really wanted to say "no, we just want to stand here and stare at these cars".

After the necessary paperwork was completed Teigan, not only came with us but he drove the car most of the way. When asked why he was driving he said quote "we cant expect our older customers to know how to drive these modern cars" and he needed to explain how things worked. We are in our 40s and have advanced IT skills and a dash of modern cars is not something we find puzzling. What an inappropriate and arrogant comment to make. Then for around 3 mins my partner was allowed to drive it but was directed by the salesman on which roads to take.

When I asked if she liked the car she replied - "I don't know, I suppose it was okay. I was too busy taking directions to notice anything else about the car".
I have not had salesmen coming on the test drive let alone drive the car. This guy has no people skills. She has decided to steer clear of Mazdas (not that the cars are bad - just the experience) and I am probably going to follow her.

Struggle to even give one star - horrible customer service (I was being mixed up with another customer the whole time), horrible management - carsales.com gave me a better price for the car - felt that as a young girl who fell in love with the car they were willing to take advantage of that and charge unnecessarily. In the end a friend who is in the industry had to call to ensure we would not be ripped off further. Picked the car up and it was barely washed with spider webs still in the side mirror and barely half a tank of petrol. Would recommend CMI toyota any day!!
