We operate a Pastoral enterprise and buy a fair bit of ammo in bulk via their online website. Then pick up when we are in town, because we live a few hundred km away. I stopped reloading popular farm calibres because their prices are so good and there’s always something to do the job. We’re not fussed about mucking about.
I’ve bought maybe 20 firearms from these guys, on primary production categories and have always had very personal service from Jade/Sam and cannot recommend this business enough.
Probably the only annoying thing is they open at 9am, What’s with the sleeping in so late you lot.

I would definitely not recommend, not a pleasant experience at all. I bought a pistol from their online store, being in another state (NSW). I was a little frustrated as they only had one photo shown, of the right side, and most of their ads showed at least both sides of the guns/pistols. The pistol had the very short description of "VGC" and that was about all I had to go on, much trust in their reputation. When I received the pistol the magazine was in it and I could not operate the magazine release with my bare hands. Also on the left hand (un-shown) side of the pistol there was a piece missing from the wooden grip and a screw missing from the frame. I emailed the business to question these faults (and their scruples), asking if I could get a local gun shop or gunsmith (nominated by them), to check these faults and possibly quote repairs. Shortly after I received a phone call from the business, the person was very irate , angrily questioning my claims and insisting I send it back to them (at my cost). This person was extremely rude, arrogant and obnoxious, talking over me and talking down to me. End result he insisted I send it back to him for a refund, less the postage paid by me, $100. I have decided not to send it back to him and lose another $50 on top of the $50 postage I've already paid.

Firstly, if you would like to have a look on our website, the photos for A lot of second hand firearms only show one side.
The faults you are referring to on the firearm are very obvious. All of our second hand firearms go through a gunsmith prior to being priced and put up for sale. The cracked grips and magazine not being able to be removed from the gun are from over tightening the grip screws... This is not a fault that would have come from our store.
Never the less, all of our second hand firearms come with a full three month warranty. You were advised to send the firearm back for warranty assessment and that we would cover the freight back to you and the repair costs. You have declined this.
I will also note that at no stage did I give you permission to record our conversation, nor have I given permission for you to distribute or publish the recording. Now while it is not illegal to record a phone call, IT IS illegal to communicate (share with others) or publish it without the consent of both parties. I have saved this review for future reference.

A lot of reviews throw a negative light on these guys, frankly, they service thousands of customers everyday, not to mention every tyre-kicker in Australia, so maybe just realise that the price reflects volume, so service suffers. I go in expecting to wait a bit, sometimes things are on back-order and staff are humans, they can have bad days. If you can't deal with that, you may be a bit more 'precious' than you think you are. Teaspoon of cement and you'll be fine.

Ordering online should be easy but they give no indication they have any of their specials actually in stock. I have ordered twice giving them the benefit of doubt but both times all items ordered have gone straight to back ordered and we commence a wait of months. Enquiring about orders will get you no where but more excuses.
First time dealing with Cleavers and will be the last whenever there is another option. I should have dealt with a regional gunshop and paid slightly more. Customer service was very disappointing. They took my money instantly then each time I called re despatch I was given the same excuse for not shipping which was blatantly not valid. I explained that I needed the rifle by a certain date and was assured it would be okay. It never arrived in time. The attitude from some staff over the phone was bordering on rude.
cleaver firearms their dispatch service a lot to be desired as you leave instructions to holt if one of the items is not there but they still post without the audition after living instructions not to
They have great service via email quick replies with the information you need, i had been looking for a particular scope for a while and found Cleavers to price items at a considerable difference to local dealers, usually the scope i was looking at is around the $1000 mark but saved a third of the price. Would highly recommend to all firearm enthusiasts as a one stop shop for all your needs.
