Sold me an unsafe van with major defects, at least some of which they knew about. Refused refund. Said they'd fix - didn't . Said they'd get fixed by someone else - didn't. Lied about inspecting for damage internally. Van unusable. Coastal giving me the run-around.
Found out later about complaints online (search Coastal Caravan complaint and open link to Daily Telegraph article). Will probably have to resort to legal action.

I would NOT recommend Coastal Caravans due to POOR customer service. Sold us a van with faulty air-con, won't come out to our place of residence to fix the issue. Instead we have to go out of OUR way? Reality check: WE are the customers who have just forked out $60 K plus on their business! Service guy (name withheld) gets stroppy over the phone with me?! Again, where is the service! It would have been much more honest dealings to admit there was a problem and delay our handover date in advance, rather than sell us van with faulty air-con unit, and then turn around to expect us to do to all of the running around the place for air-con unit to get fixed.

I signed a contract to purchase a 16ft Billabong Grove caravan at the Qld Caravan and Camping Show from Coastal Caravans Pty Ltd in 2015.
This dealer would not honour the contract as signed. The dealer refused to refund my deposit.

I took the matter to the QCAT. The QCAT finding was that Coastal Caravans was directed to refund my deposit in full and pay court costs. This dealer refuses to obey the order.

I have registered the debit in the magistrates court but this dealer still refuses to obey the court directive.

Coastal Caravans is the sole agent in Qld for Billabong Caravans

This is a dealership that has no respect for customers, contract law or court directives.
