I have dined here on and off for many years, the menu is vast and accommodates all preferences but the meals themselves are often just pre-prepared and reheated. Veggies seem to lack flavor and crunch. The staff are always friendly and prices are great but meals aren't amazing but certainly appropriate for the price paid

The meals are relatively affordable, the venue is always clean and as I have only been a patron during meal times I have found it family friendly. The gaming area is far enough away it doesn't detract from the dining experience. The meals how ever are rather flavorless, it is apparent that the meals are often prepared in advance and reheated

We have been dining here on and off over the past 10 years, the menu is extensive, most of the time your able get several different roast options, meals are always affordable and drinks are on par with most other establishments in the area. However our most recent visit i found the meal to be lacking in flavor, vegetables were clearly cooked in advance and reheated and as a result lost majority of their texture and flavor.

We had a great stay here, was very pleased with the room, small but well equipped and clean. Nice, quiet location close to everything, and a very reasonable price. The only thing was the lingering smell of cigarette smoke from the previous guests (non smoking rooms only but they'd obviously ignored it!) but that was not the hotels fault.

We came here with a group of people and didnt book but they were happy to accommodate a larger group. Dining area though was another story as it was like a 1970's bistro feel with the old carpet and school type long tables and red chairs. Anyway apart from the dining area they had nice pub food and nice outdoor area but not much going on after dark. With the 40 year old dj and a bubble machine it was a bit of a laugh.

We were kicked out of this pub for wearing sandals after 10pm. We had been here to eat our dinner and had only just finished our meals and refilled our drinks when we were quite forcibly asked to leave. I will not be returning to this pub.

Extremely disappointing service from security. We were part of a mixed group, 8 guys 8 girls, 2 pregnant. Quiet drinks after dinner on a Friday night. At 9.30 were told reasonably aggressively by security that we'd have to leave at 10pm because we were wearing thongs. OK, no prob with a dress code, was just the way they handled it. At 10pm were told to put down half finished drinks and to leave. Far too aggressively for a group that included 2 visibly pregnant ladies. Won't be going back.

Came here with a group of friends for dinner and drinks. The place is average felt like you stepped back into the early 90's (as with most of Launceston). The food was plentiful but okay. I ordered the salt and pepper squid which came with chips, salad and also a bit of pasta salad. Wasn't the best pub food I've had but it filled me up. The dining area is really dated, it could do with a bit of jazzing up.
Good location, in the centre of town.

Each and Every Time We Have Been To The Commercial Hotel We Have Left, Extremely Satisfied.The Meals Are Delicious and Affordable, And Served Within Reasonable Time. The Atmosphere is Great and The Staff Are Very Friendly. The Spaghetti Bolognaise Is HUGE and Comes With a Full Stick Of Garlic Bread. The Chicken Snitzel Is Amazing with Chips and Salad or Vegetables. Their Steak is Cooked Perfectly and Their Garlic Sauce Is TO Die For! We Always Leave The Commercial Full And Happy.

times i been to the commercial hotel for lunch with friends,the food is always top class and and tasty. their drinks are cheap and their drought beer is nice and cold.we keep going back because they offer friendly service and top quality meals. i keet telling my friends to try out the commercial hotel.i also tell my friends how clean this hotel is.

i have been to the commercial hotel on numerous occasions, and i must say the food is absolutely fantastic. they have great service and friendly staff.i love the outdoor area. it is such a warm and friendly place and the night life is great with brilliant music.

i have been going to the commercial for many years now and i have only ever had one problem which was the last time we were there. We went there for a big family get together. We were seated promptly and the waitress was very pleasent and helpful. we all ordered our meals at the same time, all them came out except 3 meals. Nobody ate while we waited for the other 3 meals to come out. After 20 minutes we ended up calling the waitress over and asking what had happened to other meals. She went and investigated what had happened. She came straight back with our meals which were just warm as they had been sitting out in kitchen since the first meals came out. They were really good and replaced everyones meals as everyone elses meals had gone cold while waiting for the 3 meals. I thought this was really good of them. The meals are a good price and great size. The bistro is quite large and well set up. They also have a gaming area, tote, bar area as well as an outdoor eating area where there is a jukebox and also sometimes live bands play here of a night. The atmosphere is really good and all the staff are really nice and very outgoing.
