Standard bike shop but good owner with good knowledge. I didnt buy anything, just browsing but didnt feel like I was expected to buy or leave.
A broken gear cable, combined with a daily bicycle commute, meant that a replacement was required immediately. As Cycle Works was on the way from home to where I needed to be next AND they were open at 9am (I suspect earlier in reality, but that's the advertised opening time), I stopped there. While my partner organised the replacement cable (and a spare for later), I wandered through to look at road bikes. The other staff member present quickly came to see whether he could help me, and took it really well when I explained that I was just window shopping, as the budget won't stretch to a new bike. So very happy that there was no hard sell, but provision of required infromation.
Bought my latest bike from them. Owner - Doug was really helpful and didnt try to sell me something too advanced or out of my price range. Good honest advice. I have been a little disappointed with their after sales service however.
