Good service, great staff, and amazing value foe money! Meals were quick and delicious!! And staff are very helpful and warm. One girl that worked there was so friendly and kep coming and asking if there was anything we needed.

we have dined at Dannys (ex-Scarborough Beach) many many times

for most of that time we had problems, not with the food, but the lack of variation and interest in menu, and the fact that it went almost unchanged forever

the menu presention, was, and remains, very downmarket, more like your chinese, with plastic sleeves and unviting formating, and lacking any additional information on dishes or ingredients, and a 'specials' board that pretty much stays unchanged, and, mainly offers basic fare/dishes. NOT special or very exciting at all

BUT. Danny has definitely lifted his game considerably in recent months. the actual dishes on the menu are much more varied and interesting to what he offered in past years (but as they say in the classics "Could do (much) better".

However, the food itself and the cooking is consistently pretty good if not brilliant (but you aren't paying for brilliant :-)

The front-of-house service is (almost) always excellent and friendly.

And i should point out that that Danny will put food on the table for you regardless of when you go eg 2:30, 5pm wheneven

that was one reason we went often there to lunch because we knew the kitchen would be open even if we were late.

The wine list is quite decent and fairly resonable with a good range, and Danny likes to stock some good reds. They wil also alloow BYO with 'corkage' (bit out of date now, hey?) of $7 per BOTTLE. These days. with stelvin tops, we would suggest a (lower) corkage per person would be more logical.

Prices are quite reasonable for quite good food

And finally the locale opposite Scarborough Beach is quikte pleasant with two caveats - the constant cars passing , and te fact that beiong due east facing its gets NO sun all day basically and will often appear a bit dark from the outside because of this.

(want a much nicer and sunnier location during the day? try the Reef Point Cafe. but don't expect the excellent food)

We regularly dine at Danny's Restaurant across from the waterfront at Scarborough. There are blackboard specials with many different options and recommended partnering wines. As I am vgetarian, Danny is always prepared to cook up a pasta or noodle or veggie dish for me. Service is excellent and we are always made to feel very welcome. We have never had a bad dining experience at Danny's and highly recommend the desserts. Yum.

We visited for lunch a couple of weeks ago. We found the waitress to be quite unfriendly and rude, but the food was fine. The view was definitely the best part of our lunch! But it wasn't really overwhelmingly nice and I probably wouldn't rave about it to our family and friends because of the service.

Myself, my husband and our little boy (2 years old) went to Danny's on a Friday night. The restaurant is BYO and the most wonderful menu, so much choice was really hard to choose. The food was very good, both my husband and I really enjoyed our meals. Prices were reasonable and we will definitely be returning.

we recently had our wedding reception at the restaurant and it was fantastic every thing was done in style with out any bother to me and my husband. the food was delicious so many quests told me how lovely it was. This was one of the best restaurants i have ever been to. We are happy with the price the service the happy and friendly environment and the cleanliness . the location is superb looking across too the beach if i was to choose again i would without any doubt do it all again at Danny's
