I have eaten at Darbar Indian Restaurant twice and found the food to be consistently good. I did not think I would enjoy a lamb chop as much as I did with the spicy version in the Darbar's entrees.
The banquet menus represent excellent value at $35-$40 per person.
The decor is warm and inviting and the staff friendly.
One small criticism is the second visit it took an inordinate length of time to get our coffees - after 45 minutes we gave up and settled the bill. The staff were most apologetic, and it only slightly detracted from the overall experience

It has a nice atmosphere with the hustle and bustle that I really enjoy with a good Indian restaurant. Not a place to go for a quiet meal for two. It's not the classiest place, but it's lots of fun and I go here with friends often for a simple, troublefree dinner that won't blow the budget.Had an good experience with Darbar restaurent.love to go there always as they have delicious taste food and good customer service.love to go again with my family.

The decor of Darbar is very unique -- you're basically underground in a stone room. But the decorations have made it very warm and cozy down there and it's a neat place to dine. The staff are very attentive and we are always pleased with the service we get there. There are cheaper places for Indian on Glebe Point Road, but we still feel like coming here from time to time because it is usually quiet and intimate.

Not your typical Indian menu- they've tried to a bit too fancy with their menu. I would like to see more traditional dishes that you find at other Indian restaurants. Expensive dining. The atmosphere is good. Not the first Indian resturant I would recommend in the glebe area.

Approximate cost: $16-30

This is one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to around Australia - I'm very glad my Sydney friends introduced it to me! The food is beautiful and the servings are very generous. The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff are very helpful (they even helped in finding a dish that didn't have tomatoes in it for a friend who was allergic to them!). The only thing they could improve is better heating in winter - Sydney gets cold!

Approximate cost: $15

Very impressed with the decor and ambiance of this restaurant. We went for a Saturday lunch and virtually had the place to ourselves (as they are more for the dinner crowd) but that meant full service of the wait staff. Check out for discount coupons as you get some good deals here.
