My family took me here for my birthday last year because I enjoy trying food from different places, and we all loved it! Eating with the injera (traditional Ethiopian bread - a bit like a pancake) instead of cutlery was good fun and the food was very, very tasty - beautifully spicy. There are a huge range of both meat and vegetarian dishes (and we tried some of both) and they are all very reasonably priced. There is a relaxed, laid back and friendly feel about the place. We'll have to go back soon! Apparently there is an an African Drummer there some Saturday nights (every second Saturday?) so I'd love to go along one of those Saturday nights.

One of the funkiest secondhand shops I've ever been too - the decor is fantastically retro, there's couches (for sale and for sitting while your partner or kids try things on) and they sell 'first-class' coffee (and a variety of teas, all fairtrade)! I've found some great bargains here, and even when I haven't found things it's just been so much fun checking out the new displays and vintage/retro gear while having a good coffee made by friendly staff. And money spent here goes to support disadvantaged people in the Congo, Cambodia and Adelaide's western suburbs.

I've only eaten here for breakfast so far, but these have been amazing! The coffee is fantastic (even for my husband who is pretty picky about coffee!) and I love the french toast with fetta and tomatoes (yum!) The breakfasts are also very decent servings. The funky retro decor is fun and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They probably don't need the TVs, but at least they're not too loud (and the kids like watching MTV!). We'll have to check this place out for lunch and dinner sometime. But it's a great place for a lazy weekend breakfast and a few coffees.

This review is for Minos Cafe, Torrensville SA

Sadly I have had to update my review and completely downgrade my rating of Minos cafe after a bad eating experience there this evening. I ordered my favourite cake - galaktoburiko - and when it was brought out I found MOULD on it! They had no other galaktoburiko, except the same one that the mouldy piece had come from, so the waitress let me choose another cake. But when I mentioned my disappointment about the mould when I went to pay there was no apology, just a comment about how she was surprised about it and would need to get someone to check the fridges. She offered no discount at all on my bill, which I was even more disappointed about. I'm afraid the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth (I'm not even sure the katayifi was that fresh) so I don't think I will be going back there to eat.

This is a pity, because previously I've enjoyed the open souvlakis and the moussaka for dinner, and the pizza wasn't bad. The coffee and cakes had been pretty good too (I had been a big fan of the galaktoburiko - one of my favourite cakes). The service was a bit slow at times, but the staff used to be much more friendly. There's lots of light and tables outside on Henley Beach road which are nice, but there are often people smoking there, which really ruins it.

Some friends took us here for breakfast - what a fantastic cafe! (Apparently we were lucky to get a table straight away - it is so popular that there can sometimes be a line waiting to get in!) The coffee was really good (even for my husband who is very picky about coffee!) and the ricotta hotcakes I had for breakfast were the best hotcakes I have ever had - yum! The cafe has a funky atmosphere with lots of light coming through the windows and the staff were helpful and attentive, despite being pretty busy! This is definitely a place we'll go to again when we're in Melbourne and we'd certainly recommend it to any friends living or visiting there.

I was very impressed both with the takeaway and eat-in at this new Indian restaurant. The takeaway is amazingly good value - the servings are very generous and very tasty and it is very cheap ($16 meal for 1, $30 meal for 2, $60 meal for 4+ and they serve more than that!). We've also had really good service when dining in - the waiters are always very attentive and helpful and the Chef always comes out and asks customers about their meal. The Malai kofta are now a bit of a favourite with our family, but so is almost every other dish we've tried! This is now my family's favourite Indian restaurant in Adelaide! Apparently it is also the favourite of the Indian cricket team - who eat here every time they are in Adelaide (you can see their signatures & photos around the restaurant)- so it must be good, authentic Indian food!

I used to love riding past here on my way home from uni and getting some takeaway Thai - yum! I never had to wait long and the food was delicious and not too expensive. I only ate in once - with my family - but I would certainly go back again, and recommend it to others in the area.

Beautiful cosy Afghan decor - especially in the banquet rooms - and amazing food. I'd never eaten Afghan food before I came here with some friends, but it was amazing. The staff were really friendly and helpful too. It's been a while since I've been there, but I keep meaning to go back and take some other friends there.

This review is for Almustafa Lebanese Restaurant, Glebe NSW

Beautiful cosy atmosphere. We had a lovely dinner with a friend here. There was a fantastic selection of dishes and we enjoyed choosing and eating a variety of small tapas-like dishes. The desserts were fabulous too! It's doesn't have the cheapest prices, but it is BYO and you can share dishes, so it doesn't work out too bad. I've been told by Sydney friends that Almustafa is the best Lebanese restaurant in Sydney, so I'm sure we'll be back again next time we're in Sydney!

This is one of the best restaurants in Darwin with a huge selection of Asian and Asian-inspired food and decor! It isn't cheap (so I've only been a couple of times) but the food, atmosphere and service is just amazing! I have never been able to replicate or find anywhere else that can replicate their amazing tempura okra! I look forward to going their new location in Mitchell Street when I'm next in Darwin.
