My friends love this place and I have no idea why. I've eaten there twice and I must say the service isn't great nor friendly. And the food is relatively tasteless. Not really much going on here to take me back. I had a crepe here once which wasn't too bad, but the serving size was definitely not worth what I paid for it.

I usually do a takeaway from this place. And I love their garlic chicken fillet with steam rice. It is fantastic. It is quite cheap as well. It takes a while to get the order ready. So, I place my order and do my shop and when I am back, the food is ready!

My husband and I had dinner here last week. We were seated quite quickly and the waitress was very attentive and helpful (she offered to help us choose something because there is a lot on the menu and it is hard to choose!)

My husband had deep fried chili chicken which he liked (although it was a bit salty, but in a good way). I had the Char Kuey Teow which was tasty and full of seafood (but the menu doesn't mention this so avoid if you don't like seafood!)

The portion sizes were quite big for the price. It's a good, cheap place to eat if you're looking for something quick.

Cheap and fast service with a wide variety of food that tastes good. Drinks arent as nice and are not as worth it when compared with the food, but perfect for a quick dinner before you catch a movie

I like the MSG-filled food at desert house. There is another branch of the restaurant on little bourke street. Price wise the other branch might 50 cents cheaper or so for some of the dishes, however the menu/dishes available might not be entirely same. You get your food pretty quick after ordering, usually the case for such eatery. Recommended: lemongrass chicken and special pork chop rice

A very busy place for a fast dining experience, food is quite good especially the pancake desert! Seating is a bit tight because it is always crowded, service is not aways good but acceptable - a very cheap eat place with nice food!
