This place serves Hong Kong and Taiwanese desserts. Not many places in Australia has Hong kong style desserts, so definitely worth a try if you havn't before! I can see they are trying to replicate a dessert chain in Hong Kong, they even copied the yellow square serving bowl. I tried the hot coconut tofu pudding, on first taste it was very nice, but after eating more of it I found the tofu tasted a bit funny, couldn't pin point what the problem was but the more I ate the more it tasted commercial and artificial instead of fresh. Anyhow, it satisfied my craving of Hong Kong dessert!

I used to go to this one but now I frequent the outlet on swanston street. The manager in the swanston street outlet is really good! Very attentive, courteous and always very polite. The waitress/waiter on a whole are rather ok too. As usual, there will always be that handfull who just ruins everything.

Their servings are slightly larger than the other asian dessert stores along swanston street. Food are generally above average. A good place to frequent if you love eating snow-ice. Their ice are so fine and light they literally feel like snow! Their stuffs are sweeter now though..

Overall, a decent place to have asian desserts.

I love coming to this store whenever Im with friends or family in the city. Theres something for anyone on the menu, and their desserts are truly delicious. The portions are very generous and its very affordable to the great quality food they offer. Hands down my favourite dessert restuarant. My favourite would have to be the Mango snow ice, its like sweetened ice shaved from frozen cream, delicious!

Approximate cost: $6.50

Dessert story is the perfect after dinner place as there are so many different choices to suit all tastes. I personally love the black sesame and mango snow ice. In warmer weather, be prepared to wait as there is a queue even during the colder months for this place.

This store (from experience) gives you slightly larger portions than the Chinatown store. Not sure if this is by chance or intentional. The store is a lot bigger so it can seat a lot more. Staff are efficient and friendly. Definitely a favourite to go with friends to fulfil my sugar craving.

Approximate cost: $10

Dessert story is really popular and their offerings are actually pretty nice. This particular store is really small and often you'll be cramped onto a table that leaves you very little room to move and eat. The prices are decent for what you get. But I personally recommend going to the Swanston St store.

There was one time where they mixed up my order, and when I told them they almost didn't believe me until I showed them the receipt. Then instead of making a new one for me, they simply scooped out about half and put in the correct one on top but once I stirred it with my spoon it was obvious what they had done to save on time and costs.

I would still go here if I was nearby, but I'd probably make the extra walk to the Swanston St store instead.

Approximate cost: $10

Their signature herbal jelly + taro balls dessert is yummy. It can be served hot or cold. Service is efficient which is great, but it also means that when there's a long line of people waiting to get in, they're pretty efficient in kicking you out! Luckily, most of the time I take away rather than dine in, so getting kicked out is usually not something I regularly experience.

Approximate cost: $6
