I want to highly recommend Dickson Auto. I just moved into the Caulfield area and found some good references about Dickson Auto online. I had a mini cooper just out of warranty - I really didn't want to go back to the dealer for service but was also reluctant to try an independent. I thought at worst I could try them and if I wasn't happy I could go back to the dealer. My car hadn't done a lot of km's and I was told by the manager at Dickson Auto that they don't just replace things because a computer says so, they check everything and tell you if it needs replacing - if you're not happy, you don't need to go ahead with the repair! Well that's what I wanted to hear and that's what they did - I was updated on the condition and what needed to be done during the day. I needed my brakes done and they were very reasonable, comparable to any brake specific outlet! It's been 3 weeks since the service and brake replacement and I reckon my car runs better and I couldn't be happier! They charge much less than a dealer would charge and it's the first time I felt that my car had been serviced by someone who wanted me to come back. I'm happy to recommend Dickson Auto to everyone, especially if you're reluctant to make the move from dealer service to an independent.

The guys @ Dickson Automotives combine exceptional qualification with unique honesty and reliability no matter what car they service (they took a very good care of my old Charade as well as new Swift). I feel very fortunate to find them after a number of failed attempts with other companies.

Courteous, knowledgeable, prompt, reliable and reasonably priced. They know what they are doing. Nothing is too much trouble.

I"ve been taking my car to these guys for servicing etc for 10 years now and they've been simply terrific. I've never felt 'ripped off' and they've never failed to fix a problem with either my wife's car or my car. They know their stuff, they're easy-going and I can't recommend these guys more highly.

You need just one interaction with Dickson Automotive to understand what automotive professionalism is. They have serviced my cars over the last 15 yrs. Information has been explained at a level I could understand. The workmanship is a testament to the longevity of my current 11yrs old vehicle having no issues. All bills are fully itemised. I've taken both our cars to Dickson's for servicing and repairs over the past three or four years, after they were recommended to me by a friend. I've always been happy with the service including price. They're good at letting you know what your options are and giving an accurate quote. I've recommended a few friends who have been happy as well.

my brake pads were worn away and my friend recommended this mechanics garage...i wasn't disappointed...they changed brake pads and disc rotors within 2 hrs...the price was reasonable too and they give a quote prior to actual work...once they finished they called back...their staff is very polite and helpful in giving mechanic advice, too...
