Although expensive, it's a great place to come for some really good quality dumplings! Service is great, and the waitresses are all wearing neat uniforms, and the ambience is very tidy.

The service here was great, but I don't eat pork, so there were not many options left. The vegetarian dishes were not that tasty. You must try the lychee-mint drink, it is absolutely devine! The lines are very long however, and you need to be prepared to wait for around one hour.

I love the xiao-long-baos here (dumplings with soupy insides) - it's always fresh and hot and so cute! It's pricey, so I wouldn't come everyday, but it's good once in a while.

Best dumplings in town, both the pork and vegetable ones are delicious. Xiao Long Bao are a highlight. A very busy place, usually have a queue to wait but you can make your order while waiting. If you don't mind sharing table maybe you'll get a seat faster.

The best dumplings. Having been to the original restaurant in Taipei, I definitely recommend this place to anyone hoping to try a bit of Taiwanese cuisine. I love how you can watch the chefs at work through the glass window. Besides the dumplings they also have these other side dishes that is completely different to the normal 'Chinese' food. Love it.
I only gave it 3 stars for service because they can get really busy so service is really impersonal. It's also a little expensive in terms of dumplings, and sometimes you have to wait a while for a table - but it's worth the $$ and wait.

The food is quite nice, especially the pork dumpling. The staff there are nice and deliver good customer service. However, the price is a little bit over-charged.

First thing I noticed here is their excellent customer service. I've been to many chinese restaurants in Sydney, but only at Din Tai Fung I experienced a first class customer service. It was quite a long wait to get a table during Friday night, but I didn't mind at all. The quality of the food is exceptional, it's expensive but it's worth the money. Love love their dumplings and their pork chops with fried rice. Love their taro ice cream & spring roll (I forgot the name of this dessert). Everytime I have an interstate guest / family member comes to Sydney, I always bring them to Din Tai Fung.

A very good restaurant with unique dumplings that have extraordinarily thin skin, and carrying a large amount of juicy flavor. The interior of the restaurant is magnificent, and coupled with the very polite staff, is a welcoming experience. The food is awesome and prepared fresh, even the soy sauce and vinegar on the tables are replaced on a daily basis, and if you go there at night you will be able to see the staff doing this peculiar routine.

I love dumplings, and on the three occasions I've eaten at Din Tai Fung I haven't been disappointed. I've never had to wait more than about 20 minutes for a table on weekends and the lady handling the door is very upfront about the wait-times, and when we went during the week it was probably less than 10. I like that you order before you get your table because it means the food comes quickly once you have your table.
