Super expensive place for pizza, although its busy we decided to give this place a miss as standard pizzas will set you back $25, not even wood fired :/

Awesome vibe at DOC!! Share a pizza and lasagne :D they also have tasting plates of cold meats to share as a great appetiser. Dessert is a must! Make sure you try the tiramisu :D

My friend and I have visited this place a few times but almost every time it's completely packed and we couldn't get seats- that simply atests to how good it is. When we finally came in on a quieter day we managed to get a table. The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous with it's modern architecture, smartly attired wait staff and the produce section on the side of the restaurant. This is deffinently a gourmet/fine dining experience so the prices reflect that, you get what you are paying for. There are a few Italian cuisines on offer but mostly it is traditional Italian pizza which both my friend and I ordered along with a coffee. The food came quickly and it was delicious, you don't think you can eat a whole pizza by yourself until you come to D.O.C, the ingrediants are so very fresh and the woodfired pizza is something special. Their coffee is of course one of the best I have ever had.

If it is just the two of you it does feel a little cramped sometimes but that's just because the place is so popular and deffinently a must if you're in the area.

Authentic delicious supurb. Best pizza ever. gorgeous staff. fantastic salads. Love eating here, love the atmosphere. They make you extra spesh on your bday, turn the lights down and pump the music up!

Just want to say that we have been here a few times, and promises each other that we would try something new when visiting Mornington, but the temptation, and wanting more takes over. This beats GRADI 400 by miiiiiles. The quality, of food, service, location, coffees, wines etc top notch. Apparently they are in Carlton too, haven't been there. Even my two year old loves the Calzone, (we share).

One of the best pizza/italian restaurants in Melbourne. Fantastic food and great waiting staff. Got to love their dessert pizza with melted chocolate on it. Well worth a visit.

I love, love, love the pizza here! When you come to this place, it is like you are stepping into a Pizzeria anywhere in Italy. The pizza is made the "real" and "traditional" way, that hasn't been corrupted by the "more is more" idea that most Australian pizza places live by.

What you will find is quality, fresh ingredients (you can see them making it all, due to the open play design of the kitchen area). You will be served by actual fresh-off-the-boat Italian men (or women, I'm sure they have ladies too), and the whole place will look and smell like an Italian pizzeria.

I would recommend a cold meat platter to share, and a pizza to share, as they are large. There isn't much on their pizza's which means you will be able to taste what there is - which will leave you very happy indeed.

Everyone thinks they know where to find the greatest pizza in Melbourne, but if their answer isn't DOC in Mornington I know not to take them very seriously! Coming here is an absolute delight, because these people live and breathe good artisan food. Don't expect to come here and find your pizza packed to the brim with toppings, because here they favour quality over quantity. Only the best buffalo mozzarella, prosciutto, fresh figs and hand cured meats will do. Only the freshest herbs. And the wood oven they use to fire up the pizza gives everything a smoky flavour that you just can't find anywhere else!
I love that all of the waiters are actually Italian and passionate about the place. You can have a laugh with them and they are happy to talk to you about the food and explain a few things. Even the menu comes with a giant picture of Italy outlining what food is produced where.
The deli and fresh food market are also not to be missed! Highly recommend the 'sweet pizza' for dessert, my favourite of all time - white Belgian chocolate melted onto a crusty pizza base, home made vanilla bean ice cream and fresh local strawberries. Yum!!

This place has the most amazing Martguerita pizza, so full of flavour. They use a variety of cheeses and sauces which makes every pizza different. Great atmosphere and deli but it can get quite loud. They also don't take bookings but we are usually seated within ten minutes. Well worth the wait...

Love DOC for a casual meal, GREAT traditional Italian food, good atmosphere, fantastic deli and greengrocer. YUM

Fantastic pizza and dessert. Relaxed and fun atmosphere. Great service and the waiters are also easy on the eyes!!!
