i just had the most unpleasant experience with dodo, do not go near them. I recenty decided to switch internet providers to dodo (big mistake) There ended up being a problem with the internet not connecting, i did all the troubleshooting over the phone with their tech support, i was using my own byo modem which i have used with several providers. I tried to explain to the tech that it could be the mac address thats the problem, as i once had a similar issue with a previous provider and it ended up being a mac address mismatch with the nbn, the tech support person dismissed this and said its a problem with my modem (which it wasnt)... she then offered to sell me one of their modems for $88, i declined and cancelled the service. I went and signed up with another provider and had similar issues connecting, but they actually listened to my advice about the mac address and resolved it and got me connected. I then contacted dodo to ask for my first months service fee that they had already charged, but they are still claiming it was my modem that was the issue (even though i explained the above story) and they flat out refused to refund it and said its company policy not to refund if theres an issue with a BYO modem. After explaining several times that it wasnt the modem that was the issue, it was their tech support agent that didnt follow up the mac address issue.. i am now forced to do a chargeback on my credit card through my bank to recover the funds, also what they have done here is a breach of australian consumer law.

I do NOT recommend Dodo Internet.
Impressed at the thought of saving money from my pension by having ISP, electricity and gas from one source, and looking forward to learning how much I'd save, I signed up. The email I received back told me nothing whatsoever about the joint billing and in fact led me to believe that it was going to be quite a lot of work ensuring I got the discounts. Within ten minutes of their email I had written back withdrawing my application for all three services.
It took daily emails from me to extract from them confirmation of my gas and power accounts. Their Internet section has not only NOT acknowledged that I have withdrawn, but have told me I will be billed $75 a month and how happy they are I'm a customer.
I did point out that it's not possible for me to be such as my modem is not from Dodo and I am not electronically connected with them; but that drew zero response.
Not only has their Internet section not refunded my $60 but I'm pretty sure they mean to start charging my card in a few weeks' time. They are impossible to deal with.

Dodo internet ASDL+ is hopeless as it falls out all the time & they cannot fix it. Customer service is bad as they keep calling me a liar when I say they have stopped my Dodo email accounts receiving emails. No chance of seeing the lost emails.

Terrible treatment of long time loyal customers. I've been a customer for 4 years, moved house twice taking dodo with me. I recently voiced my dislike of receiving a barring notice on the rare occasion i didn't have the monthly payment in and their reply was an email saying that if I decide to end the contract before the term ends. I am obligated to pay the termination fee. Making obvious how little we are valued as customers. If you don't care about customer service. Id recommend them because the internet NBN has been good. But if you care about customer service. Then you wont find it with them

Changed to Dodo because of good price. Worst mistake ever!! The internet is unusable for most of the day. What took 10 mins now takes at least an hour.

I called up DoDo for an internet connection when I moved into a new house and heard about 30 minutes of smarmy spiel of their rates. Admittedly, they are into sales, so I let it be.
They apparently cannot confirm the details on email or give me a cooling off period, so I told them I will call them back. The sales rep insisted he calls me back, as otherwise "the time he spent explaining the offer to me would be wasted" - great customer service!
Finally he calls me back, and by then I have read some other reviews of Dodo and how they have terrible their customer service is, and so i politely apologise and am in the middle of explaining when why I dont want to go ahead - when he hangs up on me. He hangs up.
Thats taking customer satisfaction to a whole new level!

They are cheap. When I initially signed for a home phone and internet package they were the cheapest that I could find. I do not use the home phone and only have it as I need a phone line for the internet. The internet service is quite slow compared to what friends and neighbors are getting and the few times it has dropped out their customer service team are rude and unhelpful and constantly trying to sell you new products. I dislike this company with a passion and as soon as I find a cheaper alternative I will gladly never deal with Dodo again

I have my phone and ADSL broadband provided by Dodo. Previously I also had WIFI device with Dodo. I am very happy with the plan and price that I have. Every so often I seem to need some technical help and I am impressed at the time and patience that the operators have. My lastest issue needed the modem to be disconnected for a few minutes and restarted. However, before we tried that, every setting was checked out. I am extremely pleased with the help received.

I used them for a while but found that the call charges used to add up to make it less attractive than the unlimited bundle deals offered by the others

I bundle my homephone and internet with Dodo Australia. I have done so since the beginning of 2009. I've hear many negative stories about Dodo, but in my experience, I have never had an issue. I've called their customer service only to change my payment details and I've called their technical support once to ask for some email server information. I've never once had an issue or experienced anything other than a good service and the polite and professional Philippine call centre have been nothing but courteous.
I have had technical issues in the past, but I always found that it was something on my side which I had perhaps played with and changed.
I've used TPG and my sister in-law currently uses TPG. She claims that she frequently has problems.
