It's good this one.
Nicely situated at the bottom of the escalator to the cinema
The people are nice and the food is ok.
Yeah. I'd come back

While shopping in Mitcham Square I stopped into this cafe and ordered a cup of coffee. Nice tidy cafe with a nice breakfast and lunch menu. Think it would be nice to have a meal here one day. Enjoyed my coffee (but then I usually do)

When shopping at the Mitcham Square Shopping centre I sometimes have a coffee here. A pleasant spot with many tables available. Meals and snacks are served here but I only have coffee and I enjoy it. The service is variable in speed however.

I gave this cafe 3 stars because like a lot of places out there it is inconsistent. We have dined here a number of times before movies. The $10 meal deal is certainly good - buy meal and get a movie ticket for $10. The meal serves are so large I couldn't finish them if I tried, so I usually order an entree sized serve. Sometimes the food and the service are excellent. However, other times the quality of the food has been not so good and the service has been so slow you think you will have to leave before it is served or miss the start of the movie (or inhale the food very quickly!). If you are eating here before a movie, I would advise ordering twice as early as you think is necessary to avoid missing out or having to eat very quickly before running to the movie!

My best friend and I now ALWAYS head to Dolci on a Girls' Day Out simply because we know they have the best cakes! We have been to a couple of local cafes and left because they couldn't satisfy us, and head straight to Dolci. We've never been let down!

I have had coffee here before, which was OK, but this was the first time I had a meal. I was very disappointed. I had one of the only vegetarian options on the menu, the vegetarian pasta (broccoli, mushroom, roasted capsicum and spinach in a napoli sauce). It was awful. The sauce tasted like they just tipped in a tin of canned tomatoes, the penne pasta was so overcooked that it was mushy, the broccoli was gritty and the whole lot was sitting in about a cup of watery liquid. I was hungry but I couldn't eat very much of it. For $16.90 it was a total rip off. My friend had a foccacia which she said was reasonable, $9.90. I mentioned to the waitress that the pasta wasn't very nice and that it was very watery. She said sorry but didn't seem to be worried. To top it off, the house wine was terrible, very cheap and nasty. We wont be back.

Approximate cost: $17-20

I take my elderly auntie out on a Wednesday and we have been to dolci several times. Each time we have felt we have received the best of service not to mention the tea coffee and treats. Good experience all around.
