The web page showed that the oven element that I wanted was in stock and priced $43.95 on Sale - marked down from $59.95
I telephoned to confirm that a part was in stock so that I could pick-up. They had plenty in stock and there was a new part number.
I arrived the next day to be told the price was $89.95.
I refered back to the web page. They noted it was a different part number, however they still honoured the price of $43.95 after doing some checking that they were not losing money.

Upon looking at the stamped number on the element, the number was the original ID number that I wanted. The package sticker had an updated number - it was an exact match to the original element.

From new, the original oven element lasted about 10 years.
It failed 9 months ago. I purchased an after-market element on eBay for $25 plus postage. It was not quite round and needed carfeful positioning so that the fan fins would not hit it. All good, for 9 months and it burnt out.

This time I brought the original manufacturer element from Doug Smith - fitted perfectly.
Buying sub-standard quality, after market products, off eBay sellers isn't worth it.

Incompetent stonewalling a***holes. Take your business somewhere else. Took two weeks to send me the wrong part. I e-mailed them as soon as the part arrived and told them about it. No reply. E-mailed again. No reply. Two weeks later I e-mailed again. Finally got a 'form letter' reply asking for the model number and a photo of the part they sent. I sent them the info and photo they requested. No reply. Two months later, I bough the part I needed from a different company (that company sent me the right part in just four days!). Doug Smith Spares gets a big fat F from me.

Rang at 10am today to ask about a part said that it was in stock and I could collect today. WaS told Granville store will be open til 4pm. It's 2.30pm now in carpark and it's closed. While trying to get through by phone 2 other customers have also come to the store.
Not sure what type of business you are running.

Excellent result on a hard to find part. The team at Doug Smith found the last remaining display for my fridge, arranged payment and I had it within 2 days from Perth. Outstanding service !

I will never deal with this company again been waiting for 3 weeks for a part for my washer and they still have not ordered it

The mob in Granville could not manage a chook rafle without stuffing it up. Parts they said they had were ordered and paid for on the 17th Feb but not invoiced until 22nd which was when they were expected to arrive at the Mackay Branch. Parts did not arrive in Mackay until 24th but the order was short of 1 bearing.

Attempts to talk to Granville staff in person by phone were thwarted by the hopeless phone system which prompted me to leave a message.
My call was never returned and the whole sorry mess was sorted by the local Mackay guy- kudos to him.
Its now the 6th of march and required bearing is still not here in Mackay

As for the rest of them -they can jam it- Ebay can supply me the bits I usually require and a damn sight quicker.

Anytime I need a part for my washing machine, fridge or dryer I order it through this company. They are very customer friendly and have been the most reliable service I have experienced so far. Great prices too.
