DREADFUL! small 100 g piece of battered fish and bright yellow soggy chips obviously been cooked in overused oil. TOURIST TRAP YO BE AVOIDED. Over priced no value here. If there was competition it wd be shut in 6 months . View is ok food dreadful.. Go elsewhere
Approximate cost: $30
You are definitely paying for the location and the seat. the seafood is fresh but not the tastiest of dishes and if your just getting battered fish there are so many other places you can get the same quality fresh fish at much cheaper prices.
Went by ferry to Watson's Bay and had fish and chips from here. It was very pleasant eating them overlooking the bay. The fish and chips were good but perhaps a little greasy. Still, all in all, an experience to enjoy,
well watson's bay has only technically got this restaurant , so no real competition out there . Food is good , prices not very cheap ( we got a fish basket for 15.95 whereas you can get it cheaper in other places) but the place is nice , well watson's bay is nice
The Fish Roll is out of this world. You have to be prepared to line up and wait for
20 mins sometimes. Popularity plus!!
The end product has the WHOW factor and the waiting was a thing of the past.
Approximate cost: $10
Doyles at Watsons Bay have by far the best fish and chips in Sydney. So if you are prepared to travel by ferry to get the best fish and chips in town, go for it!
That was written in 2010 .. be advised in 2023 it is dreadful now .. the seafood cafe is overpriced and offers no value. Tourist trap . No competition or wd be closed in 6 minths
I'm a big Doyle's fan and like nothing more than a feed of Doyle's overlooking the Harbour. I grew up eating the chicken nuggets as I didn't like seafood as a kid and I still think they are pretty good! The calamari is awesome too. The chocolate and carrot cakes are so so good. Service is friendly and fast.
If you don't want to dine in at the Doyles restaurant nearby, this is a great option to enjoy some pretty top notch seafood fare by the beach. Stick with the fish and seafood dishes, as their chicken nuggets weren't that great. Very very busy on sunny weekends, so be prepared for a fairly long wait.
Approximate cost: $7+
Old review.. in 2023 its dreadful no compete or Ed be closed by now . Go elsewhere
