My husband and I arrived before a friend we were eating, but we weren't given any water.
Ordered from the lunch menu, King prawn pad thai serving was huge, but came with only one prawn.Boring westernised Thai food.
Not air conditioned, so hot days avoid the restaurant.
So just go to Spice I Am for real Thai!

Competitive price compared to neighbouring businesses. Ordered a dong yum gong, coconut rice and palm juice and the quality was beyond expectations.

This place is nice enough. Portion sizes are adequate. I must say the decor is rather dowdy, it reminded me of a hospital. The tables are also rather wide making you feel quite distant from the person opposite.

We had curry puffs and satay chicken to start which were nice and just OK respectively. The red duck curry is nice but rather short on quality duck meat. I forget the other main which tells you how inspired I was by it. Whilst not expensive, I feel for what we got it was overpriced.

Two starters and two mains with a portion of rice between two people was more than enough.

On the negative side the food was average and the ambiance was rather lacking.

Underwhelming.

I think there are better places for Thai food in this area.

It is great food at a low price. My friend and I both ordered from the noodle menu, and both of us were very impressed with the quality of the food. but if you are looking for a cheap, tasty place to eat, this is yours.

Great business, these guys turn over the most amazing amount of covers each night. The food is tasty with great portion sizes, BYO drinks, very reasonable prices and of course the service is speedy! Also do takeaway and delivery!

Love Doytao Thai. I usually go to the glebe one but newtown is better because it's bigger. The best thing to get is the padthai as well as the bbq anything - lamb/chicken/pork. I havent been able to find any other bbq dish like this. There is lots of good thai in Sydney but this would have to be my favourite hands down

Awesome reliable Thai food. Service is a bit impersonal, but they've always been really busy when I've gone in, and if you ring up for pick-up they're very quick.

I love the food here its made fresh right before your eyes with colourful ingredients. The vegetables are always cooked perfectly. The staff are nice and their service was excellent. Its always thriving and has become a very popular restaurant makes for a great dine in experience or a quick and easy take away.

I agree with most ratings for here and think the food is great, but I do find they now start to treat their customers like they are on a production line and get you in and out as quickly as they can.

It's a difficult place to enjoy a meal with friends and then sit back for a chat and a wine before desert or just as a wind down.

Approximate cost: $25
