A great place that has given life to the south end of Newtown. The place buzzes, the food is wonderful and the coffee probably some of the best in Newtown … and beyond. Only a small place, easily filled, wonderfully noisy, some of the best wait staff around and all headed up by the lovable and crazy Lenny and his partnet Deb. Just a great place that deserves all the success that comes its way.

Really great Thai food and a wonderful selection to choose from. Service is very efficient but they seem to have become a money making machine as the prices are too high. Once you even look like finishing your meal they tend to hurry you up with an almost indecent haste.

An unexpected great hotel now it's been done up. Plenty of tables and chairs, comfortable and seemingly quite family focused.

Good selection of food in the bistro and just a bit above your average pub bistro by way of quality and taste. The staff are very friendly and always seem very helpful

I agree with most ratings for here and think the food is great, but I do find they now start to treat their customers like they are on a production line and get you in and out as quickly as they can.

It's a difficult place to enjoy a meal with friends and then sit back for a chat and a wine before desert or just as a wind down.

Just a good old fashioned garage owned and operated by two guys that learnt their mechanic skills back in Europe. While they specialise in European cars they can turn their hand(s) to any make and take great pride in their work.

They even love to boast about how accurate they keep the gauge on their air-hose! Just across the road from St Peters station it's handy to drop your car off and train it to work.

A great Vietnamese restaurant in an area short of good eateries.

I was there on their opening day, and have been a regular ever since. The food is consistently excellent, the service can be dippy when they are full, but it's always worth the wait. They offer a take-away service and a six-pack of their summer rolls are perfect to take home to enjoy with a cold beer after work.

A great little place in a semi-industrial area. Fantastic cakes and super fresh roles make it a great place for a coffee or lunch or just a quiet place to enjoy your paper.

The service can be a bit dodgy in busy periods and seating can be difficult at times.

This review is for Izote Mexican, Newtown NSW

A nice all round Mexican restaurant in a city where it can be difficult to find a good one. When I was there they had not been open long having just relocated from the other end of Newtown (Chocolate Dog Cafe).

Nice atmosphere and roomy restaurant with good middle of the road Mexican food.

Good service and value for money if you're at that end of twon

A sandwich shop like no other, especially in an area that offers little variety. It's owned by a chef who offers specials every day, all cooked on the premises by him and with top ingredients and a wonderful blend of flavours.

The sandwiches are created literally by hand, the staff wear hygienic plastic gloves so to better layout the sandwich. Even the bread is wonderfully fresh and tasty, almost good enough to eat on its own.

In the first few months of opening he sold over 4000 bacon and egg rolls and they alone have become so popular he is now having to open Saturday mornings just to satisfy the bacon and egg roll addicts in the area.

A great place.

Always exciting to shop there, with a never ending display of great and exciting products. The staff seem to know the products well, but often finding a free staff member can be difficult.
