I can't recommend Dr Max Michael enough. He is an excellent doctor and helped me deliver my baby boy earlier this year. His practice is very well managed, thanks to both him and Paula.
All throughout my pregnancy, I felt that I had all the information I needed;knew what to expect at each stage ( without me asking it, so pre emptively been told by Dr Max) and I was encouraged to ask questions and the answers I received were no frill, straight scientific facts or based on doctor’s own experience ( which is a lot- he has been practising for a long time ).
Also he keeps the appointments and is highly punctual - which allows for me as a patient to manage my own time ( e.g. Work around work meetings etc. as you know that unless something really went wrong, the appointment will be on time and I will be able to leave on time) .
The best was that towards the end of my pregnancy term I wasn't rushed for induction or at intervention and the baby was given time to arrive on his own ,while baby and I were monitored. ( I did end up having an induction but I was well informed of why it was necessary).

Dr Max Michael and Paula Lindsay (Practice Manager) are fantastic. They have a talk straight attitude, are always on time, and run a highly organised practice. Communication is clear and evidence-based options are always provided giving you (the patient) the right information to make the best decision.

I had a semi-complicated forceps delivery as my 4.5kg baby was not descending after 2 hours of full dilation and was not in the right position. The next day one of the senior midwives said to me there are only four Drs she would trust to do forceps delivery and Dr Max was one of them – he is extremely experienced and has expertise using all instruments.

Dr Max is located in Cabrini Malvern which is convenient as he takes the time to do nearly daily rounds of the Maternity Ward to see how you are travelling. Patient care (at home) after delivery has been fantastic so far with both Dr Max and Paula making me feel supported and answering all my questions.

I will be coming back for round two in a couple of years.

I would highly recommend Max if you’re looking for a professional and trustworthy obstetrician/gynaecologist. He has looked after me through each of my three pregnanciesc; he’s always been extremely helpful, kind and knowledgeable. He was patient and empathetic throughout my long first labour - I felt very comfortable in his care. Max checked in on me every day I was in hospital and was always willing to answer the endless questions I had before and after I gave birth!
Also a huge shout out to Max’s lovely receptionist Paula who is not only professional but personable and always willing to lend a helping hand.
If I have a fourth, this team is definitely my go to!

Dr Michael was my obstetrician for the pregnancy/birth of my daughter (now 13 months old). His practice is in a very convenient location, within the Cabrini Hospital Malvern. Max was very matter of fact, appeared to be very experienced, and explained all medical procedures clearly. He responded promptly to email enquires and I did not have to wait long before each appointment with him. Although the birth of my daughter did not go as smoothly as I would have liked, Max made me feel at ease and dealt with all matters expertly. After the birth, Max checked up on me and my daughter each morning we were in hospital. I will definitely use his services again for any future pregnancies.
