Really traditional chinese food, has a different to taste to other Australian-Chinese food. They use different vegetables and cook the meat in a traditional way. The prices are good. Service is fast and good. I would highly recommend this restaurant.REAL PRAWNS PEOPLE! Fair prices too, staff were friendly as ever and the service quick as a bullet! Highly recommend it!

I went there for lunch special, did not ordered the dumplings, because most of the dumpling they offered has chives in it. I ordered eggplant with rice, it is quite tasty, but a bit oily. It is just disappointing when there isnt that much choice of dumplings we could have.

I've been here a few times now & the food is great ... it's just a shame the service is a little lax ... menus are grotty & falling apart, bottle of water placed on the tables but no glasses to drink out of, so many staff but not sure who's doing what?

Approximate cost: $15

The dumplings here are pretty good, I think the best Newtown has on offer. Though I don't know if they really quality as the dumpling KING — think you need to head to Chinatown for that. Service is ok and the food is reasonably priced, I'm always happy to eat here when in the area.

Approximate cost: $8

I agree- for the best dumplings around go to Chinatown! It is so much cheaper too!

This is a newly opened shop which I give a thumbs up to. You can get yummy dumplings at value for money prices, it was a pleasure to dine here. For lunch I had the Northern style dumplings (10 pieces) for $6.90. Staff were friendly and there is lots of room, unlike some other crowded places on King St.

The dumplings are awesome! Lunch specials are great value for money at only $6.80. New hot spot in newtown - may want to book ahead if going for dinner

Approximate cost: $10-15

Been here on a couple of occasions, and find the food to be ok. The dumplings are good value, a plate of 16 costs around $8, but they're just dumplings. Nothing too special about this place

Approximate cost: $8

If you appreciate honest Beijing food at a good price, then it's your kind of place. The steamed Northern soup dumplings are great, as are the fried, pot-sticker style fried Northern soup dumplings. The shallot pancake is better than I've had in Chinatown, Sydney or Melbourne.
