LOVE LOVE LOVE Sandy ... gorgeous designs, amazing accessories & such a friendly shop.
Pretty dresses, cool prints, unique jewellery & sweet gift ideas.
If you're looking for something original & that will make you smile then definitely shop here!
This shop has some really cool & slightly quirky designs.
I've bought a really cute cropped cardy & some end of season summer sandals.
Have a rummage through their sale items cos you can find a bargain ... but some items are slightly strange fits & can be a bit exy at times.
Approximate cost: $100+
Cashed in a voucher for a seafood platter & was pleasantly surprised ... the food was really good!
Sometimes vouchers can mean low-quality or small portions but this was perfect for my partner & I on a cruisy Tuesday night.
The seafood was all really fresh & well cooked ... bbq octopus was my favourite item on the platter, but the prawns & scallops were also really tasty!
We topped it off with a nice nutella crepe for dessert & walked away smiling :)
Approximate cost: $12 crepe
I cannot give this restaurant a high enough rating ... I wish there were more stars.
This is honestly the BEST place I have ever eaten ... it's reputation is excellent & it was everything I expected plus more.
We went for the set lunch & over the 9 courses I was continuously impressed.
Trumper sashimi with salt bush & rhubarb, mud crab with miso cream & panko, shortrib with burnt eggplant & kohlrabi ... it was all just incredible! Plus the wine pairing went perfectly.
I cannot fault this experience & I definitely recommend making a booking asap!
Approximate cost: $100/set menu
I'm a book nerd & this is a great place to browse.
I always find a book that appeals to me & the prices are always competitive!
Don't ignore the 2nd hand section ... there are many gems hidden away!
Approximate cost: $10
We went for Mother's Day lunch with a large table of family ... the set menu sounded quite appealing with zucchini flowers, pork belly, lamb rack & risotto just some of the items available to choose from, but unfortunately the place slightly under-delivered.
There was a mix up with our table & we had half our entrees served but then taken away again just to be re-served about 5 minutes later.
The food was tasty, but the lamb was a bit over cooked for my liking. Although I do understand when you are catering for large groups the process of getting every meal out at the same time can be challenging.
Anyway ... mum was happy which was the main thing but I don't think I'll be racing back anytime soon.
Approximate cost: $65/head set
I went here for a friend's birthday ... it's a pretty cool space.
Some eclectic retro styles, comfy mis-matched couches & good drink options. The Polanski cocktail was very tasty!
Approximate cost: $14 cocktail
Love this place ... I get to try out a bit of my spanish when I order & not feel like a complete tool! We all laugh together at my terrible accent!
Frozen margarita to go with my chicken guerrero burrito is a bonus on a Saturday afternoon King St stroll!
Approximate cost: $10
If I'm going to be honest, this wasn't the best experience I've ever had. Sure the food was nice & the service was pretty good but I think there's a bit of arrogance about the place that made me feel a bit unwelcome.
They have a strict booking policy ... if you book an early seat you kind of feel rushed to get out for them to get the next bums on chairs ... I understand that busy restaurants want maximum turn over but I still want to enjoy the dining experience.
My boyfriend & I still had a good time but I wouldn't go back in a hurry.
Approximate cost: $25
Grabbed yummy pita pocket from these guys when I needed a quick snack. The falafel was great & the pocket was stuffed filled with goodness.
Really fresh & tasty ... an easy alternative to all the thai on offer around the area :)
Approximate cost: $8
