For a fine dining experience I was a bit let down. We were booked in for a late lunch. Upon arrival we were told the kitchen was closing soon and we had to hurry to order (including dessert at the start of the meal [never done that before]). I was wondering why they would book us in at a time that they knew would rush the kitchen staff... After the initial rush the food was uninspired, my veal was pretty bland (except the end piece, which had a nice smokey taste). It then took 30 minutes for anyone to clear our plates and bring dessert (considering the initial "rush" this was disappointing service) It also took us 20 minutes to get the waiter's attention to get drinks. Despite this, the staff were friendly if a bit inattentive. The rice pudding was really tasty as a dessert but unfortunately the experience as a whole was disappointing for a fine dining restaurant. Although it wasn't the most terrible experience I've had, I'd probably choose somewhere else for the price.

I was a bit disappointed by this place. The service especially let it down. We made a booking for a late lunch - 2.30pm and when we got there we were told that the kitchen would be closing at 3pm so we would have to hurry. We asked to be seated by the window as the views are stunning but were told that these tables had already been prepared for dinner so we couldn't sit there. The food was mediocre. I had the cauliflower soup which was bland and oily. The chicken was also bland and quite dry. The rice desert was lovely for a cold day and quite good comfort food. They took 20 minutes to take our plates away after we had finished the mains and it was virtually impossible to get service for drinks - we had empty glasses for 30 minutes before we got the attention of the waiter.

The seafood buffet on Wednesday nights is excellent. The quality of the dishes is superb and I would highly recommend it to any seafood lover. They also offer non-seafood dishes, such as roasts or pasta. The service is also excellent. Terrific value for money

I expected more from an expensive seafood platter, but the quality and quantity was not as good as in other places. The service is poor - you go up and get your own - and it is more of a bar than a restaurant.

Approximate cost: $35

I went here a couple of weekends ago for the first time. I was very impressed. There was live music (Friday night) and there was casual dining where people could eat standing up around tables and there was a sit down section. We sat down and the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Like i said, i was very impressed.

Approximate cost: $40
