I was here a few weeks ago with a group of friends prior to going to the theatre. We informed the staff that we had to be out by 7:30 and they were happy to accommodate us. Drinks came out immediately and food came out quickly. It was tasty and well presented. The floor supervisors were checking up and ensuring that all was okay. The warm cookies at the end of the meal and fruit plate were most welcome. We liked it and will be back.

In my opinion, East Ocean is the best Chinese restaurant in Chinatown; in terms of quality, service and atmosphere, it is hard to beat.
The ingredients are always fresh, which is evident in the taste and presentation of the food - which is always nice to see.
East Ocean offers the best Yum Cha in Sydney. The variety of dishes is great. I would recommend trying the Peking Duck, as it is amongst the best you will find.
All in all, a great restaurant and well worth a vist whenever you are in the area.

We go to East Ocean for Yum Cha on a regular basis. They offer a wide range of dishes from from fried food to steam food to desserts. Be prepared to wait in line for a while on weekends - but it is worth the wait.

real Chinese food, very convince place,it is the first choice if you want to try Chinese food,I like the shrimp dumpling and the BBQ food,BUt it is a little expensive, I can afford to eat everyday

Perfect place for a yum cha session with friends in the city area. The carts come around regularly, offering tantalizing options. Ambient atmosphere with your standard red carpets and round tables make a good spot for friendly chats over cups of hot Chinese tea.
