I dont like ebay I found that you dont make much profit and any profit made goes directly to ebay or paypal fees. Also when you have a problem i find that they give you an email generated response.

As a buyer and seller on ebay I find it to be a satisfactory auction website. As with any type of shopping you have to search through to find the bargains, and there are alot of items listed above their value, but overall it is a well set up and maintained business

If you do your reserch you can get some great bargains there. Easy to use, nice website, lots of features and options when searching for items making it faster to get to what you are looking for. Live chat help responses are slow but it usually solve the problem.

As a seller on Ebay I found that the fees almost exceeded my revenue as you had to not only pay fees for a percentage of your product but also listing fees and paypal fees. There may be more customers but what you make goes back to Ebay, please avoid and try and use another auction house.

I am a buyer off ebay and found it simple to use and effective to purchase secondhand childrens clothing. The seller was efficient at getting it out to me. I do find that it sucks though when you are bidding on a item and you really wanted it but you lose out in the last second. Anyway thats my thoughts as a buyer. I havent sold anything on it as I think thier fees are too high, so I cant see it would be worth it for me when there are alternatives out there.

since i became a mum to 2 young children going shopping can be a hassle but being able to 'hit the shops' from home and grab a bargin at the same time has been a blessing.

I have been using ebay for a few years with little concern. But when a problem did come up. No one really wanted to help at all. I have decided that I will not be using ebay again.

The majority of my personal buying and selling experiences over nearly seven years were good ones - some bad apples in there, as with most things - however, the company itself leaves a lot to be desired! It's insulting to receive ridiculous, meaningless robotic responses to enquiries or requests for assistance; it's also insulting to the general Australian public for the .au membership to be used as guinea-pigs for new policy proposals; it's further insulting to be charged more for services than other O/S countries; it's greedy and arbitrary to impose the one mandatory payment method on members, when this payment-medium is a subsidiary company of the business in question here. It's grossly insulting for them to think they can convince members this policy is intended to "improve the buying experience" when it's actually just an additional money-making scheme for the shareholders. With recent policies, they've also made decent sellers the easy targets of scamming, non-paying buyers. They're hypocritical, in that they'll only enforce certain policies that don't cost them a few more of the almighty $$$$, for example, although fake designer items are "not allowed" to be sold through the site, while ever eBay are collecting fees from rogue sellers, you can report them till you're blue in the face, without result! I've also found that items are no longer always cheaper than in retail shops.
The majority of the Aust. public are not backward idiots, nor are we a bunch of bleating sheep!

Huge Listing prices - australia pays twice the price that the USA does to sell items.
Emails are automatically generated and NEVER answer your enquiry
Absolutely NO interest in real resolution or in taking personal differences into account.
HUGE SAUSAGE FACTORY Churning out a poor quality product unnecessarily.
