I went here for a birthday dinner with some friends after seeing they won award on 'Out in Canberra' and I saw why. It was fantastic food and service and atmosphere. Just other side of town from where I live but will defintely go back there and recommend highly to anyone.

The best restaurant in Canberra. The staff are fantastic and remember their regulars (we go there for every birthday in the family, so about 6 times a year). The steak is FANTASTIC. By far the best steak you can get, and all side dishes are lovely too. Ellacure is intimate without being pretentious, and has always delivered brilliant food and wonderful service. At one birthday dinner, they even brought out dessert with a candle on it! 10/10!

I booked Cafe Ellacure to catch up with a friend - it was near my workplace in Bruce. Unfortunately I only had a short one-hour lunch break. The service was spectacular - very friendly, we were seated out on the deck and I just wished I could settle in for the afternoon. The food was also delicious. The price is on a par with most places of this type. After visiting again for dinner I would stand by my first ratings. With a school-aged child, we started dining at 6:00 pm but the place filled up later on. The service is very attentive without being in your face - just what we like!

We organised a surprise 30th birthday party. The service is great, as is the staff. The manager could not have done more. Very helpful in every way.

Valentines day and we were spoilt from the moment we were seated. Lovely fresh bread and Champers to drink then choice of four entrees. Both were delicious and then again another four mains to chose from and my steak was absolutely delicious. Could not pass up desert and this again was a gastronomical experience par excellence. Can't wait to go back there and already recommending to many friends and family members.
