Dr. Lam was my doctor since the earliest days of ERMC. He was very professional, friendly and empathetic. He set broken bones, burned off warts, did injections and some minor surgeries. I was dismayed when he told me he was leaving the clinic because he didn't think he wanted to be a doctor anymore. Having read the other reviews on this clinic I can see why! I have nothing but praise for all those I have come into contact with at the Centre - reception staff, nurses, pathology nurses. Occasionally wait times test your patience but given the care each patient receives that is a small inconvenience.

Margaret the receptionist is fantastic very caring and will take the time to talk to you when not busy .
Some doctors are not that great but they do see a lot of people go through this very busy clinic and unfortunately l think time plays a big part in this.
My Doctor Dr Minty has always been very caring for myself and my family .

Yes I would recommend this clinic the doctors and staff are very busy and they do the best they can

If you want to see a female doctor in particular, don't go to this clinic! The doctor made the appointment extremely uncomfortable, didn't want to answer any questions, didn't provide any information to me unless I asked multiple times, didn't even say goodbye to me... never again.

I want to inform future clients thinking of going to this clinic especially because it is bulk billed. DON'T.
My son had a heightened episode of anxiety and was depressed. On seeing a Dr for help, particularly as we bring them up to believe that that is what Dr's do, he was told, "you've just started school again, you'll get used to it and go home to speak to your parents". Really? Mental illness obviously to him is a cultural taboo. In Australia, mental illness is very real and serious as it can be debilitating and crippling. On top of that, the Dr refused to grant a medical certificate which was needed for school. Thankfully a very helpful receptionist was able to obtain one which was later picked up. THIS should not have happened in the first place. It is not our job or the receptionist to be back tracking on an incompetent and a non compassionate Doctor.

Really disappointed! I saw a different Dr there, and when I had some ongoing problems that I was concerned were related to a new one that popped up making me quite ill, I decided to book in again. Much longer wait time. From the time I walked in to the time I left was about 8 mins and that included the time for the Dr to go out and look for something and to write the script. Apart from that's not sufficient time for a proper exam, when I brought up the ongoing problems that had me quite stressed on top of the obvious one, I was told to come back another day. Caring and gold standard treatment at its best. I understand they're busy, but it's a bit rough to be dismissed like that, it's not like I was there for ages. Sub-10 min appts should not be a thing. Seeing that, I wont go there for anything serious. At least it was bulk billed, would've been far more upset otherwise. Can someone recommend a reliable GP in this area?

In all my life, across multiple countries, I have never received service as bad as at Eltham Ridge. I don't know what their doctors are like because, despite having an appointment, I never got to see one.

We waited nearly an hour after my appointment time before finally giving up and leaving. What made the process more frustrating was that multiple walk-ins without appointments were seen before me (I'd estimate maybe a dozen people).

After asking the grim-faced, mono-syllabic, unhelpful receptionist multiple times when we'd be seen, she always responded that we were "next." I counted 7 more people go ahead of us before leaving.

I will never go back. If you do go, DO NOT book ahead of time, just go as a walk-in, you'll have a much better chance of being seen.

I love how its open every day of the week including public holidays and easy to get an appointment which i have done a few times. The only doctor i have seen there was very good but i was disappointed in being told i couldn't have a specific blood test done after being referred from a naturopath to request it. The doctor didn't feel there was a need to explore that option. Very disappointing as i felt what was important to me was being pushed aside. I haven't been back to her since.

This place will get you our of a bind cause it's open till all hours. However...the waiting time can be immense...a Saturday night you can be there for 2hours waiting to be seen...and the language barrier with the drs can be an issue. They don't just hand over antibiotics..and are pretty stringent. Having said that I prefer my local GP but it's comforting to know they are there. And the premises is clean and staff pretty polite.

Bulk billing doctor - always a plus.
The receptionists seem to be a little cold but I guess I understand, I might be too if I worked in a place as busy as that lol!
There is a large variety of doctors so if you don't like one - try another next time!
If you go during the day, you generally are told to just 'come on down' so don't need a booking. They are open really late too which is awesome as most doctors shut up shop around 5-6.
Allow time if you have an emergency (lol!) in the evenings though, especially fridays/saturdays as there can be a very long wait time to not only see a doctor, but if you need to see a nurse aswell it's ages.
Nice and warm in there though, although not much parking if it's busy.
Near mcdonalds though, so that's always nice for a special treat afterward ;)
