Went in today Best Service ever !! Men cut & shave ( hot towel) service plus a beer !! $35.00 don't bad !! Darlingharbour great area !!

I have been to better hair dressers, they do not provide you with a good service if you have a voucher. I spent over a week trying to call but no one ever answered the phone. So i went in to go and make a booking and they seemed to always be booked out at times that suited but no one was actually written in their books for appointments???? As part of my deal I was meant to get a half head of foils and a makeup session. When i came back for my service the girl spent the whole time complaining about working their, and didn't do a good job with my hair the streaks were all different widths! To top it off no one could do my make up today as there was no one in to do it, so she said that i just wouldn't receive that part of my service. Spent 3 days trying to call the manager, his solution was we will give you a bottle of shampoo (worth $20) when the makeup was meant to be $50 but i had to come and get it and reshow him my voucher!

Hate vouchers - never good value. I haveunsubscribed from all group buying sites and never ever use a hairdresser who offers vouchers through these sites. It is never ever a genuine good deal and you spend money and time getting reparative treatment following this "good deal."

Hi Lisa133, we agree with the comment by Itgirl41, as vouchers seem to cause more problems than they are worth. Once an unscrupulous business has gotten hold of your money, they are less inclined to offer a decent level of service. From what you have stated, it sounds like a case of ‘false advertising’ and we would suggest lodging a formal complaint in relation to this. Given the two ‘negative’ reviews for this business are both connected with voucher usage, we would likely avoid such an establishment. I went to Elvis for the first time using an online daily deal coupon, i had a coupon for foils, a cut and blow dry.
I has happy with the overall result at the time, but when I next went to the hairdresser (a different one), they said that the person doing my hair had missed a whole section of my hair at the back!
The salon staff seemed to bicker a lot and there was a decidedly bad vibe about the place. You could tell that people weren't happy to be working there. Also being in the middle of a mall there were people stopping and looking at you getting your hair done all the time.

I can say though that the prices were pretty good and it would probably be ok if you were getting something simple done like a guy's haircut or a trim.

Overall, an ok result but I wouldn't recommend this place.

Hi Kiriathm, I think you will find that the hair dresser in question did not ‘miss’ a section of hair, but intentionally avoided it. This is a well known industry tactic, deployed by unscrupulous businesses in an attempt to cut costs. Unless you personally check the back of your hair with a mirror (or have a friend confirm this), you may never even be aware that your hair has been unevenly coloured. In addition to this, we personally loath the idea of passers by gorking at you while you are having a procedure done, however many salons see this as advantageous, as it makes the salon appear functional and busy.
