I just love this place, and have been here many times. They bring out a little tray of olives and pickles while you deliberate over the menu. Everything is fantastic but the vegetarian or meat platters are awesome and feed more than 2 people!
The service staff are fabulous, very attentive. And the serving sizes are huge. Do not expect to leave this place still hungry. Jut make sure you're in the mood for a full-on garlic affair!!

I have been seeing Riaz at Complete City Health for about 6 months.
What started out as a sore neck that didn't get better has been diagnosed as an early stage straightening of the neck. In my initial appointment Riaz did a very comprehensive review of my spinal alignment literally from foot to head, instead of looking straight at the symptom.

I value Riaz's honesty and client manner. This place has a lot of regular patients but they always take the time to get to know new ones.

Yes, its a bit dingy. Yes, it could do with a good clean. And yes the staff are often a little pre-occupied. But I love this place!
My book club meets here every month and it has all the best things a regular meeting spot should have: cakes, coffees and alcoholic drinks if its been a hard day. They also make a special kind of milkshake/sundae thing to order for my partner.
Unlike so many other cafes in the eastern suburbs, this place has a sense of history and is really comfy! We are never rushed out or pressured in any way, even when we hole up there for an hour and half nursing just 1 glass of wine.

Great job guys, don't ever change.

This review is for Favela Churrascaria, Potts Point NSW

Visited this place after getting an online daily coupon deal.

This was a great novelty experience, there are several main meat dishes which come out as they are ready, along with potatoes and rice. An excellent place to go if you're a meat lover, everthing is barbequed to perfection.

The night we went it was rather busy and the I got the feeling some of the staff were quite 'green' as they didnt take the time to explain what each dish was as they set it down, instead one waiter in particular mumbled quickly something before rushing off so most of the time we had to guess at what we were eating... which made it fun in a way I guess!

I think Favela will get the hang of things soon though, making the transition from nightclub to restaurant can't be easy but its the little things like providing adequate light in the bathrooms that will score you extra points with diners in the end!

I visited Christopher Hanna using a online daily deal coupon.

I was really happy with my cut, colour & blow dry. The girl who did my hair (don't recall her name) was brilliant, really bubbly and friendly. She really knew what she was doing. The salon has an edgy kind of feel, would be a good place to get an avant-garde kind of 'do.
The only drawback for me was that it was a little bit untidy and could do with a bit of an interior spruce-up, especially considering the fact it is a more expensive affair than most places.

This review is for Elvis Hair Studio, Pyrmont NSW

I went to Elvis for the first time using an online daily deal coupon, i had a coupon for foils, a cut and blow dry.
I has happy with the overall result at the time, but when I next went to the hairdresser (a different one), they said that the person doing my hair had missed a whole section of my hair at the back!
The salon staff seemed to bicker a lot and there was a decidedly bad vibe about the place. You could tell that people weren't happy to be working there. Also being in the middle of a mall there were people stopping and looking at you getting your hair done all the time.

I can say though that the prices were pretty good and it would probably be ok if you were getting something simple done like a guy's haircut or a trim.

Overall, an ok result but I wouldn't recommend this place.

This review is for Orient Hotel, The Rocks NSW

verified email - 28 Dec 2010

I have been to the Orient a few times for pub meals and drinks - it serves up the regular kind of pub meals such as burgers, sandwiches, pies etc. The drinks are fairly well priced and the staff are friendly enough.

There is a beer garden out the back which lacks any kind of major appeal, much like the rest of the pub really. Being in a good location, the Orient seems to rest on its laurels. It can get away with average ambience and very average food because its on a major tourist strip. This means probably 90% of the clientele are not Sydney locals - there is just nothing that makes this place stand out.

Having been here on several occasions, I can only say that the 'CBH' fits the bill for a large, institution-style beach pub.
The service is ok, the drink prices are ok, the food is very average for the price though.
All in all its a good place to stop in after an afternoon at the beach, and it has an excellent beer garden for basking in the sunshine.

This review is for Ten Japanese Cuisine, Randwick NSW

This is my favourite Japanese restaurant in the area. Great fresh food, the sushi rolls are great, and the sashimi is fresh. The cooked meals like teriyaki salmon are awesome too. Generous servings and good value for money.

I have been here twice, and both times was pretty underwhelmed. The most recent time I ordered the seafood platter which at around $70 was not cheap. The squid was really chewy and the whole thing didnt seem too fresh.
Overall this place is ok, pretty average range of food and not very good value for very simple dishes. The service was pretty average too. It is licensed though and is in a nice spot on a sunny day.
