I have considered buying an Entertainment Book for the past few years now so finally did it this year! There is a lot of variety with some great deals, however I am still a little disappointed with it. The limits on some of the vouchers seem too low, and don't really make it worthwhile. I think I'm going to struggle to get back the $65 that I paid for it... Hopefully I'm proven wrong but unfortunately I can't see that happening at this stage. The best thing to come from it so far would be supporting the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Approximate cost: $65.00

I've bought the Entertainment Book for many years. Last year, with the influx of so many deals companies, I didn't buy one but still missed out. This year, the deals companies have become less appealing so I bought the Entertainment Book again. Glad I did. I've already recouped my investment, not to mention supporting the Queensland Cancer Council at Bowen Hills.

What I'd love though is if they'd come up with a digital version so we don't have to carry around a ragged book after using many of the coupons. Food for thought for the future :).

I agree a digital version would be great! I do like the app they have now that tells you what businesses are nearby, maybe they could incorporate it into that somehow?

Why wouldn't you purchase an entertainment book. I got my money back after using one dry cleaning voucher and eating out once! (I had a lot of dry cleaning) A great range of restaurants - from fine dining to Maccas - and really worthwhile discounts, especially for foodies like us! It encourages us to try new restaurants, as you can only get discount at each restaurant once, but if the restaurant is really good we go back there regardless of not getting further discount. And you help out your favourite charity or school/sporting group.

If you don't have an Entertainment book, go and get one.
Even if I barely go out for months, I always get way more out of having a book than the $65 cost of buying one.
There are vouchers for restaurants, movies, dry-cleaning, snacks, zoo's - just about everything in your local area.
Highly recommend.

I have been using the Canberra Entertainment Book as a fundraising product for the past couple of years for local educational organisations - and it is great value for the fundraising organisation as well as the buyers. When the book is released, you get to attend a launch party (where you receive a free book for your own use) with many prizes to be won. Prizes are also available for selling a certain number of books in any given month. $11 from each book goes back to the fundraising organisation - and it is an easy sell as the book is so great.

More personally, I am loving the 5% off my groceries and fuel by pre-purchasing Coles and Wish gift cards on the Entertainment Book website - and they have great accommodation offers too, which are even cheaper than other cheap accomodation sites on the web. So easy to get your money's worth.

For $65 dollars you get a book full of vouchers to use for the following: fine dining, casual eating-in or even some take-away. Includes some entertainment type activities and even discount on accomodation. Alot of charity type organisations stock them and it helps raise funds -

Very good if you often eat out or use the entertainment.

It is definitely worth the $65, especially if you eat out regularly. Has such a great range of restaurants. Also has great other vouchers including for AFL games.

I agree with you! I have been buying this book for many years and that cost pays for itself once you have used it a couple of times!

AMAZING VALUE!!! for $65 per book, you have so many options for fine, casual, take away dining to suit most people, the activities eg zoo entry for half price is brilliant day trip too. staying at hotels for half the cost via online bookings on their website is excellent

i have been buying an entertainment book each year for many years and am one happy customer!!

I hadn't heard of entertainment books until recently. I was wondering what it was and what it was like so it helps reading your review especially if discounts apply to zoos :)

Great value, it gets better each year and even if you don't use it very often it's still worth buying one. The savings on some items are unbelievable
