My girl friend and I met here on a Monday for lunch with our babies and were treated great. We were led to their main dining room and offered high chairs etc. Food great, although disappointed we were not offered dessert. Overalll..great

Esca is located in Holdfast Promenade, Glenelg, and has a very modern and airy feel about it, with large windows letting in a lot of light for a fresh touch. They serve a wonderful variety of mediterranean foods. Their pastas are of good quality as compared to other Italian themed restaurants, but if you want something different, try their seafood cataplana, an exquisite authentic Portuguese dish. They also have a nice selection of wines to choose from. Great quality, good service, and good price - it's difficult to compete with other restaurants down Holdfast, but they hold their own.

My partner and I were greeted upon arrival and received consistantly good customer service throughout the night. We ordered a seafood dish for two which was quite pleasant. The dessert was amazing!

I went here with a friend a while back. The place wasn't busy, we weren't dressed badly, there was nothing wrong with our mannerism, but the service was lousy! I'm not going to say it's as bad as some, but it certainly wasn't good.
For the price we were paying, we at least expected decent service standards... and even the food was quite plain. I think we both had some kinds of pasta.
Anyway, disappointed
