Never ever use this builder, they are unprofessional, not only cause the issue to their own clients but cause issues to neighbours as well. They use my property as their own and they dump all their material on my property. Causing delays to my contractors at the expense of my time and money. When I contacted their builder never once returned my call, so, contacted their head office reception, with no customer service and ask me to send an email with photos and they will try to move their material at the earliest. It's been more than two days so far no action taken.

Cowboys. The best named business in Victoria. When you have endless delays and try to contact/resolve them good luck, it should be called The Great Escape.
AVOID THESE BUILDERS.
My son has been expertly stitched up by them in Pinacle Estate Delacombe.
Over a year to have a slab poured...
AVOID, AVOID AVOID.

I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!!! DO NOT USE THEM. CURRENTLY IN THE MIDST OF A SHITSTORM.

UPDATE 28/01/2022: JESUS CHRIST!!!! went past the house on Tuesday night. First thing we noticed they RENDERED the whole front of the house. When it's stating in the contract that there will be brickwork on one side, it's interesting because our neighbour said he requested that but was denied by the developers. Today they told us it was "approved" by the developers, not sure how true that actually is? I haven't seen anything in writing and to put it simply I don't trust their word. Meeting with them today was pointless as selling ice to a Eskimo. They tell us it nothing can be done. My thought is how can you let it be done in the first place. Clearly reading and listening is not a essential skill of being a builder.

The last time we met with the MD and site supervisor (if you can call him that), this so called supervisor advised us he would like to be there to oversee any work done as quality control. GOOD JOB on the quality control mate.

Today the MD didn't bother turning up, must be attending to other shitshows. So we get the construction manager who says he needs to see what kind of compensation they can offer but suggested maybe a black garage door....mate I can paint a door black, I don't need your builders painting it something they think is black.

So the construction manager says he'll go back to the office and see what they can offer. Mate I just want you to fix your stuff ups. Simple!!!

UPDATE 9/11 - It took them almost two months to tell me the correct windows are 3 weeks away. Not sure why they couldn't tell us this every other time we asked.

All we've got is delays after delays. Every stage there are defects that need to be rectified. Our latest inspection returned a 70 page report, long list of defects in the brickwork and framing, as well as outstanding defects yet to be rectified. We had a re-inspection done when the plumbing and wiring was done, ONLY FOR THE PERSON THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO FIX IT TO CALL ME AND ASK HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE!!!! MATE YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT TO DO. After more delays and zero movement, we had to escalate the matter for a more senior person sent on site to oversee the work.

Let me tell you about the WINDOWS!!!! We signed the contract stating to have double glazed windows fitted. The windows arrived after the slab was laid and well before the frame was set to go up. So the windows sat on site for some time. After the frame went up, the windows were fitted promptly. We went on site to check the progress of the build and noticed the windows that were fitted WEREN'T DOUBLE GLAZED. We didn't mention anything for a couple days before emailing asking them they don't look like double glazed windows, which they confirmed it wasn't and said the right ones were ordered but the wrong ones were sent. SERIOUSLY?! Your building supervisor didn't bother checking them before fitting them?

The building supervisor is that incompetent that he didn't bother checking the correct windows were delivered before fitting them. Bear in mind the windows were sitting in the building site for over a week before they were fitted. ALSO, WE'RE THE ONES THAT HAD TO TELL THEM THE WRONG WINDOWS WE'RE INSTALLED. HAD WE NOT SAID ANYTHING ESCAPE HOMES WOULD'VE JUST LEFT THE WINDOWS IN THERE AND TAKEN THE MONEY AND SAID NOTHING.

This is the same building supervisor that took it upon himself to decide whether it was necessary to have termite protection on your home regardless if you paid for it or not. WHICH WE DID!!!!!!

Now that the wrong windows are fitted, they keep telling us the supplier can't give an ETA on when the right ones will be delivered. All we get is "we will let you know when we know". This was brought to their attention on the 17/9.

Anyone want a list of the poor work feel free to get in contact with me.

My neighbor is building with Escape Homes. Their contractors are very unprofessional. Their construction commenced in August 2018, as of now 13/04/2019 for nine months not complete.

What really annoy me is Escape Homes does not have good supervision on their contractors. Site supervisor Anthony never know what their contractors are doing on site. There are several times these unprofessional Escape Homes contractors invade into my land. These contractors removed my wire fence to gain access doing concrete work on their site and left-over wash concrete, excess soil on my land.

I have contacted Escape Homes head office to resolve this issue. Stephanie and Mariese who work in the head office said they are too busy and have limited visibility managing 100+ contractors.
This matter is now escalated to the Wyndham City council for investigation and remedial action. Also, the landlord of this property is being sent a demand letter to resolve this dispute suggested by DISPUTE SETTLEMENT CENTRE OF VICTORIA.

In my view Escape Homes is considered unprofessional builder because,
1. You might startup with a sour relation with your new neighbor before even move into your new home because the damage done by Escape Homes to your neighbor property.
2. Escape Homes takes too long to complete the house. For instance, my neighbor commenced construction in August 2018 and till now I am experiencing their rookie contractors recently pushed debris into my land in preparation of the driveway work for the site.
3. If you call them, this builder assures you that they will act but in reality, nothing progress.

Therefore, I am sharing this on YouTube for community awareness, where this site supervisor Anthony from Escape Homes had acknowledged the damage done to my vacant land that was cause by their contractors. Unfortunately, till today they did not remove the wash concrete, soil, crush rock mix sitting on my land.

Hi Julians,
I was reading your review as Im having the same issue with them at the moment. I went to my property to look at my land and they have dumped soil, rocks, rubbish and they have been mixing concrete all over my land as they build next door. Im just wondering if you ever found any solution with them?
My husband contacted them and spoke to a receptionist and she said she would make contact with the supervisor, however upon reading so many bad reviews Im starting to stress that nothing will be done.
Thanks,
Gisele

The first home is the dream of every person buy i have committed a blunder mistake by choosing escape homes. They are very unprofessional people. Being a first time home buyer they are giving me very bitter experience of my life.
Never never go for escape homes.
The whole story is as follow
This is the calculation according to their contract.
The building permit was issued on 27th of June 2017.
21 days to commence the work after permit which was 18th of July 2017.
So right from 18th of July 2017 to 29th of may 2018 the days escape home took to build my house are 328 days.
The building time period was 250 days including all the delays + 21 days for the involvement of independent inspector makes 271 days.
328 - 271 = 57 days over.

These people will never explain the contract at the time of signing with them and there are so many hidden things in the contract like they got final stage payment at the time of lock up stage when i refused to pay because the house was not ready according to the stage (no doors, no fixtures no bathroom) then they said you have to pay according the contract which they mentioned in the last of the contract u der special conditions which they never mentioned earlier.

So now i am in the process of taking legal advice against them so my advice to all of you is never ever go with them. I feel sorry for them cuz it takes years and tears to build a reputation and trust for some business but i was helpless and finally decided to give them a negative review which they 100%deserve.
Thanks

I have a really horrible experience with Escape Homes. First I signed a contract which they said was standard only to realize later that they had sneaked in a "Special Conditions" page that essentially allows them to do what they want and charge you for it...and of course which are in contradiction to the main contract. I have not for instance heard of a clause in any contract that claims the date of commencement is when they first lay the slab.

They charge me for bringing in an independent inspector and treat that as a variation even though the inspection only points out to issues within the contract, build documents and building code that need to be rectified. Even their site supervisor agrees with the findings of the inspection reports. I am now left with the option of pointing out defects at the handover, which of course is going to be costly and very inconveniencing.
They sale you a turnkey project but put in additional costs that you have to pay within 7 days or else they delay your project by months.
The site supervisor is good and doesn't see why the many hurdles to do an inspection but their office and sales people are sneaky...be very cautious with these guys.
