I wouldn't rate it too low because of one bad experience but yes,at indooroopilly I had a new staff for waxing and unfortunately I m not ready nor preferred to be a person to be learnt on...neither waxing happened nicely
.too slow...and too unaware of how to apply wax..

I would not recommend this salon to anyone. I have been there several times, mostly because it is convenient (in the Brisbane CBD) and you can usually get a walk-in appointment. However, each time I have had a service there (hair removal with waxing) the job has been badly done, and there has never been an attempt made to check that they have completed the work nor have they checked if I am happy with the result. Further, during my most recent visit, I was left with no after-care, covered in sticky wax residue and raw underarms because the beauty therapist seemed to be too inexperienced to know that applying the wax more than once will remove skin! On top of all this, the price is not very affordable, especially given the quality of service. I have contacted the salon, but have received no reply.

I have been here a couple of times for an eyebrow wax and both times has been great. Walked out very happy, great value for money. I also had shellac nails done for a wedding. The lady made french tips for me with the shellac and they turned out great she did a lovely job, I even then recommended the bride and her mum to go in and get their nails done to the day afterwards. They were also very happy with their nails and waxes.
They seemed lovely in there, very chatty and welcoming. Didnt try to annoyingly upsell anything which most beauticians i find do.
The treatments were done fast and both times I was a walk in and didnt have to wait.
I always walk past and see this place quite busy. Im impressed :)

Nothing pampering at all, just wam-bam-thank-you-mam. I have some concerns for the hygiene including being given a towel to cover myself which was obviously used by the last client as it already had a big wet patch of the gel. I had voucher for IPL hair removal and visited them 8 times, some staff made me feel very awkward and others were fine. The treatment was unsuccessful, but that is likely to be more a comment about IPL than Essential Beauty.

This is not a place you go to for luxery spa environment but it is fantastic value for money and they are so quick! Especially Kristy who is all about getting you in and out in a flash which is very appreciated on a busy work day. Try it.

i have been going to these guys for a while now. a very nice bunch of people who are more than happy to answer questions. not to badly priced and offer heaps of services.
