Thief's.
Unable to perform services paid for in advance and refusing to refund.

No sympathy for their customers.
No compassion and looking after fellow Australians

Just selfishly looking after themself

CEO Matt Hughes, 0427471340 personally refused under any circumstances to refund.

Pathetic customer service

I went into this salon for an eyebrow wax and bikini wax yesterday. They fit me in within an hour.

I went to this salon because I heard that they were the best at eyebrow shapes and they didn't disappoint. The lady did a great job, she tinted my eyebrows too and they look absolutely amazing. I am very happy with them.

As for the bikini wax, it was the most painless wax that I have had. She offered me a choice of wax types (I didn't even know there was a difference) and explained the difference. Very happy and will return.

Went in to get piercings without an appointment (website says walk ins are welcome) on a Sunday morning. I was greeted with friendly smiles by two young ladies and taken through immediately. It was a pleasant experience and for a piercing virgin, I felt very well cared for.

Is this business on here 3 times? I am confused.
Got my anti-helix pierced here (the forward front part of the ear) and I am really happy with it. I am eventually getting 3 but start with the one. It was quick and the girl talked me through it all to ease my nerves :s. All in all a great experience and I will go back.

I went here for a bikini wax yesterday. After hearing so many stories about Essential Beauty as a chain I was a bit hesitant... but I was also desperate so I thought I'd give it a try.

I am now converted. The wax was really good. The girl was very gentle and not at all like what people say. It was quick, efficient and professional. I was overall very impressed - after all, who wants to lay for too long getting a brazilian!

I don't work in the city, but I don't live far away and from now on I think I will visit this same girl, although she did say that all of the girls wax very similar because they go through a lot of training before doing this type of work.

All in all a great experience! Thank you ***

Been attending this salon about 18 months now for my bazillions and eyebrow waxing. They are clean, cheap, fast and efficient. I usually have to go in my lunch break and like the fact they are generally on time within a few minutes of my
appointment. I also like that I have a choice of hot wax or their normal wax.

As a 'chain' I find the service, price and products to be appropriate. It is not great but it's not a boutique salon!

I used to get waxed there regulary when I worked in the city as it was suitable to my time committments and budget.

They do rush you a bit and it does hurt??!! (I assume that's just the deal with bikini waxing though)
But it is clean and mostly professional. I would visit there again should I have the need.

Been there for my piercings last week and happy with their approach, service and professionalism. The lady has done a nice job of my ear pierced and I love it.

***Warning: Mild descriptions of xx waxing. ***

I'm giving this store a 3 star rating overall, because I've only had my waxing done there. I can't vouch for the other services. But the waxing service in this store is the most painful I've ever encountered, it's almost sadistic.

Ok, so I put up with the pain on a few visits because they are central to Adelaide and I didn't know where else to go. But I noticed each visit that unlike other waxing salons, these girls had been trained to make the experience as quick as possible, rather than as comfortable and happy as possible. Like a drive through service!
And they are expensive too, so you might expect the whole rolls royce of service for the price.

But:I was about to head interstate and wanted to make sure I was -ahem- holiday ready.

So I dutifully headed to essential beauty. I wasn't sure if I'd let the hair grow out enough and so when I saw the consultant, I mentioned it. She assured me she could still do it.

But the pain was so brutal I stopped before I was xxx - half done, I looked more like I'd been attacked with a set of trimming scissors - and I was bleeding quite a lot. Being a girl with stronger, more plentiful hair, I have had that occur a few times, but this time was far worse and obviously a result of the beautician's decision to give me a wax when she might have either told me to come back in a week or two, or proceeded with extremely gentle caution.

The kicker was that, of course, despite being barely xx, I was charged for the full xxx.

So with a painful lady area and an empty wallet, I headed home determined to find another, better, waxing salon. (And I have!).

Approximate cost: $36-38

Hi there to the store owner! Thanks for your reply. I only just saw the comment, sorry!

I do understand the concept of a quick wax. I really think that teaching a gentle touch is absolutely necessary though. I think that if the wax hurts so much you have to stop, and the customer is still charged for the full wax, that must mean something is wrong (or the customer is overly sensitive). I've been getting waxed for quite awhile so it is not a sensitivity issue. You seem like you care about your business though! I'm sure that you will have worked to ensure that the beauticians are softer and gentler since my review.
