I may never get my hearing back in my left ear now because of the total lack-of-urgency my case was deal with by multiple doctors at this clinic as well as the repeated misdiagnosis's I received.

I came in with sudden, total profound hearing loss in my left ear as soon as I began experiencing it and saw three different doctors over the course of a week at this clinic to try to get it addressed.

The first doctor suggested it might be earwax build up and that I would need to come back in the next day to get it removed. I came back in the next day and they told me that they were unable to treat it as it was after 4pm (no mention of this on my first visit). On my third visit the wax was removed and I was told it was merely an ear infection and that I would just need to take antibiotics and come back in a week. I asked if it could be something more serious or if I would need steroids and the doctor told me no, just take the antibiotics and come back in a week.

After a few more days I still had absolutely zero hearing in my left ear and decided to go and see a doctor at another clinic, who then told me to go to a hearing clinic, who then told me I needed to immediately go to the emergency room to get steroid treatment, as the longer I wait the more chance there is it will be permanent. They told me that I really should have begun the treatment within the first 1-2 days, but because of repeated misdiagnosis wasn't able to (even though I specifically asked about steroid treatment).

Long story short I still have no hearing in my left ear and am frustrated that I wasn't able to get the medical attention I needed right away.

To anyone out there: if you ever experience sudden sensorineural hearing loss: go to the emergency room right away. It's an emergency even if your GP insists it's not.

I have been seeing Dr Mahua Huq at the Eureka Medical Centre for about a year now. I've found her to be be an exceptional doctor: intelligent, kind, well informed and available. I have complex health issues and she has been willing to listen to the information I can contribute to our discussions about treatment. The reception staff have always been courteous and willing to go the extra distance for me when necessary. Never a problem getting a referral to a specialist when necessary. Altogether, a very satisfying medical centre.

I arrived at 8 minutes to 6, with an urgent referral to see pathology for a blood test for my elderly father. The receptionist who I believe was in her 60s went on about how the lady finishes at six and we were too late (Despite there still being 8 minutes and we were the only patients in the whole building). I explained that we were sent from our Doctor five minutes ago and we needed the blood test results back before Surgery Monday (today is Friday). She repeated a few more times that the lady wanted to finish before finally going to 'ask her if she would see us.' The receptionist came back and said she would see us and then went on to tell us 'how lucky we were that she will see us,' and that 'she wants to finish and leave.' I pointed out that it was only 5 to six. She stopped, raised her voice and started wagging her pen 5cm from my face. I put my hands up (as if to signal stop) and backed away telling her not to wag her pen in my face (my tone was probably a bit upset at this point) She yelled at me to 'SHUT UP, and said YOU LISTEN HERE....' I walked away from her towards the pathologist as I did not want to engage, so she told the pathologist not to let us in, who promptly shut the door in our faces. We just walked out in shock.

my 20yr old son went there 3 times in a matter of days.[redcated clinical content] my toddler son was taken there with broncitas and pain.we waited 5-6hours to see a doctor, and this time was spent in a room out the back as his crying in pain was "disturbing" other patients.i gave 1star cecaus I had to so I could post, they aren't even worthy of that.

[Redacted clinical content] On average you will wait about half an hour to see a doctor, and that's not at "peak hour". I find it incredibly odd how they try and rush you out after you've waited such a long time. Unfortunately I have no other option but to continue with this medical centre but I dread it.

The worst doctors in Victoria! The doctors send you out with out a proper explanation or diagnosis and the waiting period is always 2+ hours .. when your sick this is not a practical way to spend your day and mind you that you'll be back again tomorrow because next day you'll be worse having recieved no medicine and need another doctors certificate.

Approximate cost: $0
