We are building a new house and initially came into contact with this company for the flooring. At the time he was going under the names of Regal Flooring and Stepping Stone Building Supplies. We contracted with him to do the floors and paid him a deposit for that.

Later our builders fell through and he said he knew tradies and would help us save some money by project managing the whole thing. We paid more deposits - totalling around $280,000. After all, he seemed a really nice, trustworthy guy (even bringing us fresh snapper from his fishing trips).

However, in January 2008 the slab for our new house was poured - and that's all we still have today. At one stage we had a gargarge and half a frame up but the building surveyor that checked the work said it was faulty and so we had to pay an extra $5000 for it to be taken down.

If you are thinking of doing any business with First Class Flooring, (Commercial Rd, South Yarra) Stepping Stone Building or Regal Floors. PLEASE BEWARE they have taken our money, promised us the earth and deliverd nothing but a slab. We are now taking a claim through VCAT.
